Thanks! Haha, yeah, I really liked the actor’s performance but I assumed we’d get more than ten seconds of masked Destro spread across two movies.
Quote:
That Destro using Bossfight parts is AMAZING! I have always hated that version of Destro, but honestly that looks like a retail figure. No, that looks better than retail. Pure awesomeness. Love all the Storm Shadows and Destros together.
You also inspired me to use that spare Zorro head. I thought the cocky grin and mustache looked like Mandrake the Magician so I swapped at the heads on custom. I actually need to update that in my thread. Haha, funny you mention retail because I was so terrified of a Classified IG Destro Coming Out and causing me to break the 6” Joe seal that I rushed to make my own. Same reason I was so determined to make the Pimp Daddy Version. Hasbro did beat me to a Ninja Force Storm Shadow but luckily I didn’t like how he came out because that was another must have for me that the ball was dropped on in modern 25th. Awesome! Such a great head sculpt, can’t wait to check out your thread when you post the update! Yeet! Haha, good to see you around these parts! Thanks! Have plans for some more RoC down the road once I figure out builds! Quote:
Lots of fun stuff since your return. I see the devilish grin on Hector’s face and think if I met this fox I’d be afraid of him stabbing me with the microphone like it was a Spanish rapier!! Great use of the Zorro head!
Blue Snake Eyes is also a favorite - absolutely great paint job! LMAO! So funny how that’s how we all look at that Zorro head. I need to revisit some of the old Zorro movies and tv show now. Been so long since I’ve watched anything Zorro. Used to love the black and white show growing up and would be so annoyed when I’d wait all afternoon for 1960’s Batman or Zorro to come on and it would be a Rin Tin Tin day. Haha. I loved that dog but he was no Batman / Zorro! I agree, when I started it, I was not prepared for Snake Eyes to come out so stunning! That was definitely one that surpassed my expectations.

Finish up the week with the sister figure of my Monday reveal, Crimson Strike Team Baroness. This is a figure I wanted in 25th, almost had the box set she came in from the Club store at one point but ultimately I missed out on this version of Baroness, the Twins and the Viper. So when I saw a chance to grab another cheap Retro collection Baroness and figured that my customizing skills were good enough to do the Crimson version justice, I decided to pick up an extra.
Much like my blue version, this one is just a straight repaint of the Retro collection figure. A few more finer details with this version so it was fun to pick up the precision brush and test my line work after the short break. This is one I’m really happy to have in the collection now. Love how she looks in person and it’s just a really cool version of the character so can’t wait to pair her with some more of the red and silver figures. Crimson Strike Team Baroness With my other two main versions of the Baroness: Then because I thought she went really well with the Crimson HISS:

Man, both suited Storm Shadow and Destro look fantastic!! I agree with Yeet, it's great seeing RoC get some love! I was about to post my MTF Storm Shadow so you beat me to it
Exceptional execution of a Crimson Strike Team Baroness! This is probably the best color variation for this foxy lady IMO. Don't get me wrong, blue & black are awesome too but there's something about this red/black combo that sets her apart. Great stuff! |

Awesome awesome!
Love the crimson baroness! Been planning one of my own, so don’t be surprised if an eerily similar figure shows up from me

Dig it my man. Respect your passion the most. You don’t have any set rhyme or reason to who you choose and I love that.
It’s a surprise on what you are going to reveal . As for the figure, paints are solid, detail work is getting better and better and you see your taking your time. Making sure it’s right where you want it before you show the boys. Always look forward to seeing what you come up with man.

Haha, can’t wait! Was actually surprised to see my blue & red ones on here first. Seemed like a lot of people had them in hand before Walmart decided to throw me a bone so I expected to get to see some awesome ones before I ever put paint to figure. Looking forward to seeing what you do with her! Quote:

The precision brush really earned its keep with these recent figures. Those lines on the Baroness would have required a lot of cleanup had I not finally invested in one of those. Nice to finally have some of the right tools, haha. Haha, thanks! Definitely worth it! They are great figures. I lucked out with the Walmart “delayed” issue, ended up placing a second order and then my originals were sent so i had some extras that I wasn’t intending on having. Worked out well in my favor. Thanks! The red was looking good after I finished painting her but the factory gloss I got after sealing the paint really made her shine! Really great looking in person.

You put those Retro Baronesses to good use, man. The only thing missing is a better, slightly bigger noggin. There are lots of options for better faces, but none are the right size with the right glasses, so we’re kinda stuck there for now. SDCC version is too big, this one is too small, ROC and Resolute have wrong glasses, etc. I echo everyone else about the fine paint job you’ve done.
