I figured Id start my own custom thread so I have a place to showcase em. Starting off the thread is Dr. Sydney Biggles-Jones. It took a bit to get all the pieces i wanted to make her but I really love how she turned out. I gave her rolled down sleeves and a couple belts (one is a holster for her gun) so shes not an exact version of her 4inch figure but i wanted to make her an updated figure in the vein of the classified style while keeping her close to her 1/12th figure. I also gave her red legs instead of that reddish-esque brown the 1/18th figure had as i felt it fit more with the whole cobra colors thing. Hope you all enjoy.
*Update: Dr Jones took a tumble and one of the legs broke so i replaced them with the brown legs from a junker major bludd i had picked up* ![]() Next up is some ORIGNAL Action Force love: Captain Skip ![]() The Black camo blotches are a bit hard to see but they're there. Again I went with a more updated look ie chest armor and a belt with drop leg holster. Quarrel ![]() This one is just a simple parts swap (what i try to do most as my hands have begun to shake enough that painting has become harder to do accurately even with braces) but I really like how the scarlett torso meshes with the lady jaye parts. I went with the retro sue storm head as she has kind of a European lady sculpt. Next up is Hunter/Soap. ![]() ![]() *UPDATED with a modern hunter head and helmet.* Another simple parts swap custom. It kinda serves a dual role as I didnt have a head proper for hunter but i wanted to do more than a generic head and helmet and I decided that I?d use the mcfarlane Soap head for an unmasked Hunter but also can be SOAP as an action force member. Lastly for today is Action Man. ![]() *UPDATE: Action man has been updated with a new head that resembles the art on the file card. Another non-painted parts swap custom (though i did have to acetone the tiger force logo off of the shirt) i used his night force look as inspiration. I opted not to paint the logo on his shirt as i figure a spy operative wouldn’t go around advertising his agency. Welcome to a new day in Griffs Garage. Today’s new LBC is Mack Bolan aka the Executioner aka The Stony Man. ![]()

Looks fantastic. The head sculpt works well with the collar of her coat, which frames her out in a way that makes it more interesting than a typical draping labcoat. Nice color choices.

That Biggles-Jones figure is top notch, and the Quarrel figure looks amazing. Great stuff!

Nice to see you creating your own custom thread Griff and there's no better way to land a premiere than with a foxy looking Dr. Sydney Biggles-Jones! Awesome use of parts. Fantastic looking builds to follow as well. I'm thinking I'll become a usual here.

Great work all around. Action Man is my favorite for no other reason than I’m pleased to see the character made in the 2000 era deco.

Griff customs?! I?m in!!!
Biggles-Jones looks fantastic, so much better than what the Club gave us in 3.75?. Really cool build because I didn?t realize that the parts were out there in 6? to make someone like her. Like you choices with the color scheme as well. Captain Skip looks badass! The black camo came out looking really nice, then the additional detailing on the bullets and his shoulder gear really pop off of the black & green. The Sue Storm head for Quarrel looks great! Always loved that Sue head but I?ve been scaling down my Marvel displays so I had to avoid her and the rest of the F4 so it?s really cool to see it used for a Joe. Love the build that you came up with, the Scarlett and Lady Jaye blend works perfectly for her. Another fun idea of adding SOAP to Action Force. Gave him a great intimidating presence with the build, then the head looks great. I love someone else tackling that version of Action Man! Really liked the design when I did my 4? custom and then we seen some other awesome customs of that version by our other incredible customizers on here as well so great job bringing the fun to the larger scale! I love the goofy logo on the shirt but your reasoning makes sense of why he wouldn?t have it on there. Haha. Glad you finally have a thread, can?t wait to see what else you drop in here!
