The Big Looker Storybooks, some of which have absolutely GORGEOUS art.
And weird touches, like the Autobots having human eyes in robot mode. It's... creepy. And, yeah, Classics Rodimus was the one that I was thinking was based directly on the Dome Zero, while the original was likely... let's just say "heavily inspired" by it and leave it at that. Obviously nothing outside of a Countach has as useless a wing as Hot Rod's, though. |

I was a 3 3/4 kid. Star Wars and Joe. I don't have anything left from my childhood, Long story. As an adult, I had no interest in toy collecting. Then Classifed came along, and the level of detail, the figure selection, now the potential of vehicles?
Yeah, my inner 7 year old is freaking the eff out. |

I actually really like how the figure itself turned out, but I'm in the same boat on the accessories.
The digital camo doesn't bother me, because I'm pretty sure that's what they were TRYING to do on the original figure, it just ended up not looking like that because of the scale and painting limitations at the time, so you have giant Tetris blocks all over him instead of a true digital camo look. This is kind of an improvement IMO. The SMG's look like MP7's, which fold up very compactly like what he has here. Honestly, that's fine, I would have been OK with any SMG that makes sense for a SWAT guy (Uzi, MP5, etc). But that is not something I'd expect someone to dual-weld very well, or holster on your legs for that matter, they're still quite large even folded up like that. Would have preferred they just give him his double pistols that he's often portrayed as having instead. And yeah, no pull-out stock or silencer kind of sucks too. Instead they gave him a riot shield and baton, which don't make much sense for a SWAT officer. Feels like they just used his accessory budget to give him stuff to use for other figures down the line. As far as the knife hook, believe that is used for cutting rope. Which make sense for someone who probably uses ropes to jump into buildings. Hook for rope cutting. Nice. Quote:

Classified should start putting out some accessory packs. Guns, blast effects, jetpacks, etc.
I wouldn't mind having some jetpacks but don't care about getting those master chie...steel brigades. |

What a time to be a GI Joe fan indeed. Man I hope I can get that Chuckles. That is so 80's it's incredible. I am surprised at how popular he apparently is based upon the boards the last few days. He was always a favorite of mine, but I distinctly remember being in the great minority on that one in the schoolyard back in the 80s, as all my other friends thought he was dumb.
All I need now is a Classified scale black Ferrari Testarossa and "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins playing in the background and I'm all ready for Chuckles. Last edited by GIJohn88; 07-23-2023 at 05:42 PM.. |

I'd be all for some Classified Accessory packs. Maybe pair them with a new smaller Classified scale weapon drone like the GI Joe PAC/RAT.

Stands, we need stands. The one that came with retro Gung-Ho & Storm Shadow work great. The ones that come 50 per on Amazon are slightly too big for the foot holes.
