Torso and full arm disassembly. Thanks to Ax, went into this quickly with full confidence. Will put this in the other thread with more notes and test new arm into old torso holes...
2021-06-15_10-02-23 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr Ok, so I think the next question to answer, which will help when customizing lighter green characters like Zap, but how easy do you think it is to remove the camo paint? Also, if that Clutch vest didn't fit all the way, I would be surprised if the Shortfuse/Zap harness fit at all on this torso. Jason |

Won't Acetone smooth out the sweater cords? Especially with the soft plastic? Idk.

Not in my experience- hard plastic- probably, but the soft plastic don’t tend to melt under acetone. I’ve submerged soft parts in acetone without incident. But I can’t speak to these particular figures/materials.

MEK and a q-tip. Easy and fast paint removal on soft figure parts. Just make sure you buy the non-dyed MEK.
Oatey clear PVC cleaner...

Does anyone know if the viewfinder/scope on Cobra Troopers bazooka is meant to fold down? It appears that it might swing into position by design, but mine isn't doing it and I'm loathe to break it by accident. The way the piece fits into a slot and the bazooka isn't simply all one molded piece made it seem as if the scope might swing up and down.

With that Cobra Trooper, I just feel like too many differences for this to come close to being a "retro" figure. At least the 25th Anniv. figures got the basic ascetics of the ARAH toys correct.
I am hoping that Hasbro has a completely new sculpt in mind for a Cobra Officer. That Stalker waist & legs has me real curious now as to it would look with a Gung-Ho upper body. Jason |
