I love the theme. As much as I love my Cobra armies, the last thing I need are more generic modern soldiers. These are new and innovative instead of more of the same. It's even a carefully researched and thought out historic Spartan rather than a homo-erotic 300 re-imagining. Very well done. They've got my money, simply because they took the time to research and do it right. Keep up the good work. Bring on the kick-starter.

Eh, he's got that mythical physique. An ancient Spartan's diet wouldn't have supported muscle bulk like that.
Take off the armor and skirt and he's full-tilt homoerotic 300. Anyhoo, screw the Spartan, that Athenian is gonna be ace. |

Screw 300. I felt that Boss Fight took a page out of the Greek's playbook. Lending to that perfect physique, which is why I find Vitruvian befitting to the naming of the line.

Seeing these and their other head sculpts for the Joes, I am getting the sense the bulk of the "talent" is at BFS. I have not been reading up on their relationship with the Club, but from my POV, they should just take over the CC line. I am sure the Club is the one with the licensing deal, but WTF, I am not seeing what they add to the process. But with their latest foray into military figs, I guess they are not interested. I may be wrong on the Club, but I just got the latest edition of the Club's magazine, and it is a complete waste of paper. 90% of the mag is either ads or bad Joe comic strips. Is this really demanded by the fans?

Not a fan of Greek or mythical creatures type segments, but as for the JOEs pictured, I'm at once enthralled by the amazing work but also frustrated knowing that most of JOE customs shown here will likely never get made, unless something akin to Kickstarter were to come about, by some supernatural power. I've got to stop from nearly drooling on the keyboard here Here's hoping a few of these figures will sneak into FSS 4 (I probably just jinxed us all by saying that).

I hope they produce some kind of orc-type creatures. I think they had a sketch of a minotaur on their website. Personally, I'd like to see someone make some police and fireman in the modern-style Joe scheme.
These look great, though. I'll be supporting this line, the Marauder line, and the 4 Horsemen Mythic Legions line. There's some great 4" collector-oriented stuff coming out this year. It's just not at retail. |

Am I right that the Medusa lower torso is pose-able? I think I can see articulation points, (like knuckles,) down it.
