Current work in progress.
an updated version of the classic SnowCat (Wolf Hound). overall sleeker design with more armor. Wheelbase is stretched to allow 2 additional passengers in the cabin. also added is a .50 cal Gatling gun, with noise supression system (to avoid causing avalanches), not shown, but will also include a mortar system designed specifically TO CAUSE avalanches. The famous Snowpedos have been increased to 4 total and the 4 missle launcher has been replaced with a 12 missle mini-patriot/Surface-to-air launcher. fitted with a 500hp and 738 lb-ft. v-12 6.0 Liter turbo diesel sourced from VW. faster, better armored and more lethal than the original ever was. oh, and trying a box-art style will repost other drawings in this style later on. |

Thanks,
I'm open to suggestions for improvements if you see any. have detailed the gatling housing more since this was rendered. will continue to detail out adding the mortar, engine, etc. I also need to tweek the front cowl to follow the same angles as the windshield frame. |

Have you checked out ZBrush?
:: Pixologic :: You could digitally sculpt these using this program, send it to a rapid prototyping company... Moddler Then send it to a resin production facility... Valiant Studios Domestic Casting Services And have this thing for real and in hand. Take some pre orders to pad the cost of production and get it to the masses. I just hate to be teased by cool vehicles that won't ever be in my grubby mitts. Nice work!

Or do it all myself.
Actually, I do have pretty good contacts with a few different groups that have 3d printing capabilities. My brother is also looking at getting his own machine, but it would be a smaller machine and i don't know what the resolution would be. If there's seriously enough interest, i'll look into it. but consider anything under 100-250 production numbers will be easily into the $100s depending on detailing. my Zbrush experience is very minimal, a v.1 edition is loaded on a machine at work, but it's an Emachine and doesn't have enough power to run it. hopefully i can convince the company that bought us to invest in some software for us. Otherwise, i can port this over to SolidEdge which will do just fine. All you need is an .stl file. |
