Anyone ever heard of these or used them?
They're acrylic based and I've been offered them at trade prices just wondered if any tankers have used them and could let me know if they're comparable to Games Workshop paints Thanks in advance |

I have only used their matte varnish, which works great on top of GW's Citadel paints.
At a good price I would definitely take them. |

I haven't used them, but have had them suggested to me when I was into GW stuff. I believe they were a better quality compared to GW along with a better price and color selection. I dont know if they still carry it, but they had a 'Game Color' line that was the same color palette as GW paints, and they were designed to dry harder to avoid chipping. At the least GW has changed their color selection a few time since I last looked into what Vallejo had available.

Yes, I use them quite frequently, very nice product. Something I noticed is that if you are using them to customize a figure it will depend on how much play with or touch the figure. If you are applying right on top of the figure it will be more apt to wear off. If you use a base coat of something like the Testors acrylic line (which sticks real well to plastic) then you will get much more life out of your paint job as the Vallejo will be sticking to the Testors paint and not the plastic.
As far as GW paints they are very compatible but i like the Vallejo paint bottles better. Seems to prevent the paint from drying out and if you are mixing paints you can get a more consistent colors because of the eye dropper nozzles. You can count out the drops which is easier then just eye-ball'n the amount. Also Vallejo has a TON of paints as well as paint lines, one of which emulates GW's line of colors.

I use them and love them, and like Jason said, just use a base primer, I do this anyway just to insure the paint sticks well.
The bottles are much better, never had any of that paint dry up or go bad, ever... |

I would recommend Vallejo as well, great stuff. Also check out the Reaper Master Series paints, very similar. I basically sold off almost all my GW and almost every other paint that I had and use just the Reaper and Vallejo stuff now.
