I keep seeing Kryolan and Duplicolor. I wonder how this would work vs Rit dye. It would be a great way to base coat color figures.
this guy used it on a few figures. Frontal Robotomy: Gi Joe customs : Dye another day

Interested in this as joint rub is my bane. I've got soooo many figures waiting to be painted that I won't start on until I find a way to beat it.
I did try out Colorbond but it's a lot like the Krylon plastic fuzion line. Not much better. Edit: I found a email conversation I had with one of the reps from Colorbond and I thought this might help... "Do you know the type of plastic that the figures are made of ? If they are ABS,PVC,PC, then use the Leather and Vinyl Hard Plastic. If your plastic is PP or TPO then you would need to use the Clear Adhesive promoter. If it is Poly Ethylene, nothing will stick. Leather Vinyl and Hard Plastic will color your core plastics. In fact, you can put down a base coat and then spray another detail color from an air brush over it. It will not rub off at the joints. The primer ad pro is only needed if your plastic is poly propylene or recycled. It fills cracks and then can be painted over."
