Always love the smaller and larger group shots.
All three of these look great, I just can’t stop looking at that Powerlord. The sculpting and painting on his torso and head are just so cool looking. Then the knee and thigh pads on the legs really finish off the look for the lower body. Never really heard of this guy but this figure is so cool that I’m gonna have to see what he’s all about. SB show me your Crystar figs sometime.
Flint you are absolutely right. They deserved a cartoon. I had Crystar but not his helmet. Still need that dang helmet. I never had Warlord but always wanted him. I’ll take your version. Power Lords I do have the Four Horsemen figure but dang yours looks nicer in my opinion. I have all of the Crystar comics except issue 9. Hint if anyone has it... Lol. I used him with my Joes. He landed here to stop his Lava bad guy (Can't recall his name) and the Joes joined forces with him to stop them. Star Wars makes more sense actually. Quote:
Thanks buddy. I used Kislev flesh for the first time last night in fact on an upcoming custom. The person has a bit of a tan so it worked well without using any white to lighten it. I bought for different colors and will be using the gold this weekend. It was smooth and a much better flesh paint to work with than Model Masters. I appreciate all the advice with picking colors.

Thank you! I'm really happy with Adam Power. All the veins are sculpted and were a headache but worth it. The head is one of the best I've sculpted and you know how down I am about my sculpting so to get me to say something positive about anything I sculpt means something. I actually did not have him as a kid and knew very little about him. My best friend (since like first grade) said you are going to make Powerlords for the project right. So, that's how he got included. Btw I too wanted to know about him so I bought his only source material which was a 3 issue comic that's it. Recently though Toygalaxy on YouTube did a look at Powerlords so it's worth a watch too if you are really curious.
Haha, that happens with me all the time, I’ll make something and then I’ll get the, “well you’re gonna do this now too, right?” Usually it’s always a fun suggestion though so I have fun with it. Cool, yeah, definitely will check that out. My one buddy was into all of the 70’s & 80’s stuff that I missed so I’ll watch it and then bring it up to him. He’ll be like, “how did you hear about Powerlords?!” Haha.

Loved Power Lords and Crystar.
From Crystar,Bow was my favorite, but I really liked the Molten Men villians as well.

What material do you sculpt with? Feel free to include pointers. I use green stuff, but can’t seem to get clean sculpting like this.

Yeah, the head looks like a cast and those veins are just so cool looking. Always a pain to get the paint all the way in there after sculpting something so you really did an excellent job with it. One of my favorite customs of yours because it’s just so much fun to look at.

Thanks as always man. It is green stuff. I have been sculpting with it for years now. You have probably seen me comment on my sculpting and how it was my top priority to improve this year. Honestly what I've learned is don't rush it. Fisto for example was sculpted over 3 days. The torso was covered in green stuff and smoothed and I let that cure. Then I did the top part around his neck. I smooth out pieces and cut them with an exacto knife and then carefully smooth any rough spots once I put it on the figure. I then do the stripes and everything the next day along with his hair and beard. If you want to know anything in particular I'm happy to share. I'm not the best at sculpting, but I really am working to get better at it and learning as I go.
