Wondering if anyone is watching the clone wars. Great series and one hell of a 3 part mini series featuring Savage Opress. I have to say for myself that its kind of taking away from the Renegades for me. Renegades is pretty good so far, but nothing compared to Clone Wars. Anyone know if they are releasing a SAVAGE OPRESS figure in the future? THOUGHTS???

No. I've been very disappointed in Clone wars so far so I do not watch it. I do not even know who savage Opress is. For me, the direction that Joe has taken seems like it started out more childish and tongue-in-cheek (which was cool for me as a kid in the 80's) but through renegades has evolved into a more clever and adult orientated story while Clone wars has done the opposite. Sorry.

Clone Wars is awesome. I say re-do Episodes 1-3 in Clone Wars style animation and Star Wars would be better for it.
Yeah, Clone Wars makes Renegades look like a cheap knock-off toy cartoon... |

I watch both CW & renegades. I really like this 3 parter that CW is doing, and I hope they make him into a figure. I can't even imagine they won't. But I must say that even though CW had a pretty decent start this season, the last several episodes before this 3-parter have been pretty boring and disappointing.
I really like Renegades. They haven't made any really bad episodes yet, but I didn't care for the 2-part ninja episode. But it still wasn't bad.

I love the Clone Wars, but have only seen seasons 1 and 2, I don't have the Cartoon Network, so I've seen nothing of season 3 yet, gotta wait for it to be released retail.

I love the CW - and like Renegades, the seasons can be a little uneven. CW has some episodes that are obviously done just to add new characters/vehicles/aliens to sell more toys. I'm relatively certain that is why new clone captains/officers/grunts are given names and obviously painted helmets/armor. But the shows often have a clear story line, and often references previous episodes which makes watching it every week feel more rewarding. The animation is great - I agree, that they really could redo the movies with animation and they would be amazing (of course if they do this, they could fix a whole lot more than the visuals.) To be fair, they have 2 seasons under their belts at this studio and, if I remember correctly, 5 seasons of material Lucas outlined for them at the start. Renegades is just beginning with no toy line so harder to see how this will all play out - both in story and in sales.

I've gotten back in Clone Wars with this new 3-parter. Season 3 has been a disappointment with all of the Space Politicing going on. I'm thankful for the break from Anakin and Obi-Wan but some of the stories they presented were downright boring.
I'm certain a Savage Oppress figure is coming. Nothing announced yet but it's inevitable. I don't get the Hub (yet) so I haven't seen Renegades. I'll probably have to catch it on DVD. Sounds like a good show though. |

I catch CW every now and then, my MAIN problem with the entire show is that we know how it's going to end, and it's not going to end well.
Personally I'd rather see them do a series that takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, that's the stuff I want to know about, not the retread Clone Wars over and over. BUT that said, every time I watch the show I enjoy it, so I must need to watch more right? Meh, not necessarily. I do feel like the show is just another attempt to make more toys, BUT at the same time that can be said about every show on TV. As for Savage Opress, yeah, he's coming in figure form. I don't know if there's anything official, but the sheer number of figures pumped out by Hasbro year after year even the most MUNDANE figures are getting made. The guy in Empire with the Ice-Cream maker comes to mind. |

To be fair, Hasbro has made it clear they are not making many more female figures from CW - they say they don't sell. The Mandalorian queen or whatever is not getting a figure, according to Hasbro. They might release her later if she keeps coming up. It is interesting that a major character who had her own story arc didn't get a figure but a guy who shows up for one episode as a Clone drill sergeant gets his own mail in figure!
