Hi, thanks for looking
I've got a box full of several factory sealed retro games, mostly duplicated, and I have no idea what to do with them! I got this stuff several years ago, and I don't collect vintage games, and even if I did, I wouldn't need several copies of the same Sega CD game, for example. I held on to these hoping to trade the lot in to GameStop, figuring even if I got pocket change for each, the bulk of them would get me decent credit. GameStop has since stopped carrying older stuff, and the newer place, Play n Trade will take them, but the trade in value will be as if they were used. This would have been fine, but I've searched around, and some of these sell for a bit more than I expected. One store had WarioLand for Virtual Boy and Dr. Mario for NES sealed for over $120 each! Now, I think these were graded somehow, although I've never heard of a game AFA equivalent, but some eBay prices were still pretty steep. I don't sell on eBay, no time and it's a pain for me. My question is this: Should I just get the used trade value, or is it worth looking for buyers and traders online? I really want that freaking Batman game! Are there any Tankers interested in this sort of stuff? Can anyone approximate some actual sane values if I sent a list? I really don't like to feel like I'm ripping people off, so I'd prefer to sell or trade with my friends here for less than value than randomly online. Thanks alot! |

Check to see if there is an Ebay store in your area. They do the whole Ebay process for you for a fee. I have no clue how this works though.
I think that the AFA type of grading system for video games is the VGA. I still don't understand the point of the whole grading system on sealed items since you cannot see what is inside the box. Who knows what could be in there. By the way thanks for mentioning Play N Trade because I've never head of them before. I just checked out their website.
