The guy at gamestop talked me out of buying for PSP. He said all movie games suck in general. So that made me put it back. I agreed since that one year i bought Spiderman 3, FF rise of the silver surfer and TFTM, but i'm dying to play a Joe video game.

REal dial tone went MIA, and his sister has joined the team hoping someday to find him. so in theory Cover Girl is one of two models working for Gi JOe, unless DT had another sister besides the one madam veil tried to steal the face of. ( I know that was a terrible sentance ending with a preposition) |

The game is enjoyable, and for the first joe game in like 20 years its good. Is it the best game ever? Probably not, but I liked it, I also liked the contra style game style as opposed to the tom clancy duck and hide every two seconds...

The only part of the game I hate is when you get to an end boss and die you have to start the level clear at the beginning. I would even be OK with starting at the last check point, but clear at the beginning of the level gets a bit frustrating.
Actually anytime you die you start at the beginning even if you went through a checkpoint. |

I'm happy to have a G.I. Joe game that isn't 8 bit, but despite the contra style gameplay, and a good overall fun factor, I am just a bit disappointed. I would have preferred a more Halo style game or even something along the lines of metal gear solid, with great graphics. Still, I am going to play the shit out this game until we get a sequel.

Considering I essentially only paid $30 for the game (Toys "R" Us with gift card), I have to say I have enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I treat it like a high end Xbox Live Arcade game. It has a real 80's feel to the gameplay style, which works well with GI Joe.
I'll admit, if it wasn't GI Joe, I would have probably never given it a thought. But with the unlockables, arcade style gameplay, and fast paced action, it has been a lot of fun. Of course, while I play I keep thinking of a hybrid Rainbow Six Vegas / Splinter Cell / Ninja Gaiden / Call of Duty GI Joe game that would have been amazing, but this really does work for GI Joe. The only things that really bug me are: 1. The checkpoint system (or lack of). Why have a checkpoint if you start at the beginning when you die? 2. Only two Joe's at once? The graphics are downplayed enough that they should have been able to go with three or four on screen at the same time. Although that may have been a bit cluttered. 3. The vehicle control takes a lot of getting used to. |

I like the game, i bought it on PS2, cause my X-box 360 is busted. I've enjoyed playing my favorite Joes though, Gung Ho, Heavy Duty and Duke are cool to be.
