I picked up Civilization V again. It aged well for a 13 year old game. VI just doesn't hit the same way, for me.
Almost 2,700 hours played, you'd think I would be sick of it by now Hisstankers, what game has eaten the most hours of your life? World of Warcraft was probably worse, but I put that down a long, long time ago and will never go back. |

I never played any CIV past 4 and I never really got into that one. My dad had it and lost one of the discs.
I replay ancient PC games like Fantasy and Panzer General. I want to revisit Star Wars Empire at War someday (I never could get fan mods to work) I used to get obsessed with free games like Battle Panic and Kingdom Rush and looking back they were so repetitive that I wonder why I did. I don't like movie video games. If it's story game and you are just going through the motions of getting that character to complete a story. I'll pass. Not for me. |

Oddly, despite TotK being a better game, it didn't grab me the same way.

I have no idea how many hours I have on World of Warcraft or Star Wars: The Old Republic, but I'm sure both are higher than Civ V.

As much hate as the game has gotten, I like Conan Exiles. But there has been so much added to the game it runs poorly now and glitches like crazy. very frustrating. I may go back to it eventually.
Played a lot of Aliens Fireteam. I was one o fthe few who liked Aliens Colonial marines. I loved the AVP games. Still gotta get around to playing Isolation. The Fallout series is great. Looking forward to the show. Syrim was a blast. Zombie smashers like Dead Rising and Dead Island saw a lot of playtime from me. I also liked the whimsical Plants versus Zombies series.

In modern times, I would have to guess that Tears of the Kingdom took up as much time as any other game has for me, just due to the pure scope of the thing. Possibly a couple hundred hours overall. But nothing touching what some of you guys have done. I only went through it once.
Over my whole life, however, it's probably Street Fighter 2, particularly if you factor in all the different versions. SNES probably the most, followed by the original arcade and Super Street Fighter 2 arcade. I still come back to that one periodically and love it. As for my favorite games, both of the above (love the bulk of Zelda games and all the SF games through Alpha 3 and the vs. Capcom stuff) plus various Castlevanias, Mike Tyson's Punch Out!, the NES Mega Man series, the Metal Gear Solid series, some of the Resident Evils (1, 2, 4, 7), various Metroids, and King of Fighters goes on that list. I'm generally a fan of Nintendo, Capcom, SNK, and Konami. Last edited by karamazov80; 02-23-2024 at 02:56 PM.. |

Not sure if others have played this, but Aliens: Infestation for the DS was an awesome game. Best Aliens-based game that I've played, though I haven't tried the most modern ones. Developers have historically had a really tough time giving this franchise its due. Alien Vs. Predator arcade is also great though obviously not a pure Aliens game.
