target isn't getting rid of tvc. everyone has to jump on that bandwagon. it has been stated from steve evans. maybe people should do a little more research before drinking the kool aid. everything already has debunked..... commonsense/logic thrown out the window.

Steve said TVC isn't ending. Don't recall him saying anything about what Target is doing with TVC.

I also don’t think it’s a leap in logic to think that a line that is overpriced and constantly goes to clearance would be dropped, especially with the Epic line. And despite what anyone wants to say, it’s absolutely at odds with TVC.
Instead of producing that trash line, drop TVC prices by a few bucks. I also think deluxe figures are shifting to “fan channel” only

Sometimes we forget toys are for kids.
I agree that tvc should drop. Pretty much 12 bucks or less. No deluxe. And even that's too much for the average kid. Epic heroes are filling that void for toys for kids. They're 10 bucks. Still too much for a kid to get themselves but enough that a parent might not gripe about. My son is getting 5poa star aars figures from the last 4 or 5 disney movies that went to clearance because even they were too much. He's also getting cherry picked epic heroes to go along with them. Tvc is too advanced for younger kids but just right for kids that are moving out of baby toys. I miss when toybiz xmen and hasbro/kenner star wars each were 5 bucks. From 7 on i pretty much bought all my own toys. My son would wipe out his entire savings for basically nothing to show for it today. |

I know you’ve said this before, and to each their own, but my son HATES 5 POA. Complete turn off to him.
And the Epic line looks like shit. Looks cheap and $10 is way too much. Meanwhile, Marvel Epic has a bit more function and better sculpting. Why isn’t SW Epic done the same way?

Yeah it’s new, it’s non removable (so it’s a swapable head) and has the flip down targeting scope.

I also looked up some of those Epic figs on JTA and Galactic Figures, and they started showing up at Target. I have to say, $9.99 for a 5POA figure isn't quite what I had in mind. I was thinking more like $7.99 tops, but I guess I should have known better. The aesthetics wouldn't bother me if the price point was more appropriate. Also, apparently the Epic figures are scaled towards 4"--like the existing 4" Marvel Epic figures--rather than the usual 3.75" Star Wars figures. Which makes sense for a unified "Epic" scale, but may cause a bit of fragmentation depending on what sort of collection you add them to. It's not really Hasbro's fault the 1:18 scale is already a bit fragmented, so I'm not sure if I hold that against them.

Hasbro is gonna hasbro. Id like for them to have the same articulation. No reason not to.
