The crude humor was in bad taste (Bumblebee "lubricating"). John Tuturro is usually cool, but his character's antics hurt the movie. And Jazz? JAZZ!!? That part hurt me.
Even with all that to gripe about, IT WAS THE GREATEST ACTION FILM EVER!!! Watching the army fight Scorponok made me want to enlist! Until I realized highly-advanced, biomecha insects don't exist. Transformers live-action movie, 25th Anniversary Joes shipping, and Anderson Silva, Rashad Evans, Tito Ortiz and Minotauro Nogiera all on the same card... Yes, gentlemen, this is the best week ever. |

Oh man, since Botcon started a week ago, we found out that Hasbro is making transformers off of vehicles in the movie used by the military and sector 7! The AWE striker look alike, and V-22 Osprey.
Well I just saw the movie last night, was blown away and surprised, and I want more! I want an A-10, movie accurate, then call him POWERGLIDE!!!!!(heh not only is the A-10 in the movie attacking Scorponok "bring the rain!", but Powerglide was an A-10 too!) I thought Josh Duhamel's character was good, and the military involvement was great. Prime's sword was AWESOME! One question, did Prime fire his gun? There is the scene where Megatron forms his fusion cannon and fires at Prime 2x, then Prime does something back. It was very quick but I did see a blast, so did Prime fire his gun? Also did Ratchet use his axe? There was the fight with Brawl I think, and Ironhide and Ratchet or Jazz got close in, I thought I saw Ratchet's axe. It was too quick for me to see. Also, did Prime take a beating or what?! Wow. Megatron was pretty persistent. I understand though, Prime didn't want any civilians getting hurt. In the sequel I bet we will see an all out Brawl between the 2. I like how it took more than 1 autobot to take down the decepticons, it shows how powerful the decepticons are. The part that really got me going was when they started to mobilize once Frenzy got into the Hoover Dam. Definitely a great movie, and no doubt the sequel might be a lot better. I like the clip in the end during the credits of Starscream's escape. BTW Bonecrusher tackling Prime was a breathtaking scene, pacing and atmosphere was PERFECT. As was the part where Megatron flies Prime through the crowded building I was like ".....WHOA....."!~ |

The movie was great. Now the wait is on for the DVD. Also if anyone is keeping score the movie made a little over $155 million in 6 1/2 days.
I said it before in the post about the G.I. Joe movie script we all had a problem with but I would like to see Bay do the G.I. Joe film if he can make it like Transformers, especially after seeing the movie.
