SNW and Lower Decks are pretty much universally acclaimed (and much more broadly than the geek community, they're just recognised as good TV shows). Haven't heard anyone say a bad word about either show, to the point where it's weird where someone who likes Trek says that they DON'T watch them.

I've found *something* to like from every Trek series and movie while acknowledging the creative and professional failures each of them is rampant with. I've yet to watch LD but did enjoy the SNW crossover. I'm just not interested in a Trek that's majoritively a comedy. I'm leery of starting Prodigy up now they're memory-holing it.
IMHO, I simply don't care what anybody official says, the original Trek Universe consists of TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and their movies. ENT and beyond are about at least two variant universes. There's nothing creatively wrong with that fact, but it's not an excuse for poor creatorship. I'm not super happy with Hiya's engineering format (those wrist balls are universal bullshit that suck forever) but I do like them and Trek I'll likely try to get every fig they make and extras for customs. |

Heh. Remember we were saying how kinda awkward it would be if Chekov got made?
Guess Hiya doesn't care about that. (Keenser is a funny pull, though, especially as he's in his non-uniform look from the first movie.) |

Keenser's the one must-buy for me in this line. Kelvin Trek I can take or leave, though I'll probably come along for the ride. But Keenser I can see buying a few to make a squad of Ugnaught-like little mechanic dudes. So, just as well that he's not in his uniform. |

I can't imagine making Yelchin Chekov is any more awkward than making Nimoy Spock. I've got lots of figures of dead actors.
