I just spent my birthday money on the set of 4 Warhammer 40k Imperial Fists Joytoy action figures, because that's my army.
It's actually cheaper to buy these than paint the actual models to a similar standard myself. I figured out that I would have to be making less than $15.63 an hour for it to be worth painting them. That's pretty messed up. The lieutenant is actually cheaper than the unpainted, unbuilt model. Why we are not at the point in 2022 where wargamers are just using action figures with all of the pre-painted games like X-wing available, I will never understand. |

I have been researching five parsecs from home. It's a mini agnostic skirmish game. Before 5pfh it was star breach that uses some similar teams as 40k and legion.
100% my intent is to use my action figures. |

I will have my second squad of Ultramarine Intercessors in the next two weeks and I like what I've seen so far. I just got my Black Legion 5 pc set and started opening them. My one issue is replacing the heads with the Terminator helmets. Its very awkward and irritating trying to fit the helmet in.
I am holding off on more Ultramarines as The Dark Angels are my army, but I will get the vehicles/mechs to repaint at a later date because they are too awesome to pass up. God save my wallet when they do the Orks. |

I picked up a set of the Infiltrators, they are expensive. But you sure get the bang for your buck. The articulation they have is just amazing, still shocked they worked all of that into a 1/18th figure. Saw they are even making a Dreadnought, I wish I had the money to really dive into the whole line. Emperor help me if they start making the Imperial Guard. I'll have to take out a loan.
That would be awesome to do some games with these figures, it would be like being 5 again and taking all your Joes or Star Wars toys to your friends house for epic battles! Just don't forget to put your name on their feet lol |

I have been holding off getting any of the specialty Marines hoping my Chapter gets made (not this year it looks like) and even then I am feeling overwhelmed because I get other Joy Toy products. |

I'm veryyyyy tempted to grab some Blood Angels, along with the Krieg Guardsman. I'm not too familiar with the series but these seem like nice figures to have at 1:18, and will play well with a Roboskull

I usually compare BBTS, ShowZ/Gundamit, LockerToys, and Flyima.
Generally ShowZ/Gundamit and LockerToys have the best prices. Sometimes BBTS comes in with competitive prices making them worthwhile. Flyima's pre-order sales + 12% discount can be a real steal at times. I'm consider myself pretty selective about what I buy, and still the speed at which JoyToy releases new product can be head spinning. |

for real. I have no interest in their "real" world stuff, but their mech and warhammer stuff looks bananas. alas, I have stopped collecting and will be dumping my mostly 1/18 collection over the next few months.

Joy Toy has announced through Facebook that they have renewed their license with Games Workshop to continue to make 1:18 scale 40K figures and vehicles. Pics were leaked of Orks and supposedly more will be revealed tomorrow.
