I'll mostly let the pictures speak for themselves but I do have some general stuff to mention. He-Ro is an awesome figure!!! Major kudos to Mattel for how many new parts they tooled for an exclusive; to me that's a clear indicator that this line is doing well and that they have faith in it and want it to do well. His armor comes off like the rest, with pegs on the lower back, and then you remove his head to slip it off the top. I got the correct blue sword, and fear not, it does still very much have the cosmic-star-speckles like the black one we saw first, even if they don't show up in pictures very well, you cannot miss them in person. I got the Green Spell Stone Of Protection, as you can see. And while his armor is not vac-metal, it is still VERY much gold. I'm glad about it because I think the vac-metal would have stood out in a fairly negative way next to the rest of the figures. I'm all for the old-school vibrant colors of MOTU, but making something that shiny would have (ironically) tarnished the overall look of the collection. He-Ro just looks awesome and his accessories are extremely well made. The Sword Of He is as solid as any of the others we've gotten in the line so far, and the dimple in the hilt is almost gone, so hopefully that's a running change in the Swords. One thing that may be of interest to some is that his cape is incredibly stiff, almost hard plastic. It's fine with me since I've got no intention of putting him on Battle Cat once we get him, but I thought people might want to know. It is thicker and much more rigid than King Grayskull's. And the staff is excellent and fits into his hand without any trouble, even with the hand guard. I think this is a great example of Mattel finding the right balance in how to make these amazing figures even more impressive. As for the top that hides the Spell Stone, two of the side pieces have a plug and a hole to hold it in place/up and the other two sides slide ever so nicely under them so that the staff is secure when closed.
Alright, onto the pictures! We've got lots! Group shots, Masters Of The Universe shots, He-Ro facing the Castle which apparently also appears on his cape (LOVE that!), He-Ro and Grayskull side by side, He-Ro bequeathing the Sword to Grayskull upon his heroic death, He-Ro and He-Man in their most well known pose together, and of course a armorless He-Ro to show him without the SDCC logo. And finally, the white mailer box! It's clean and classy and should keep every figure nice and mint until we rip them open! One other thing that makes me REALLY happy about it is it's the perfect place to store the cardbacks! Speaking of the cardbacks, here is his bio: He-Ro - Heroic Cosmic Warrior Real Name: Ro Given the sword of He by the Overlords of the Timeless Dimension of Trolla, Ro was told to "go forth and combat evil". During one such epic battle, he was infected with a techno-organic virus by Horde Supreme and sent through a vortex to the magic planet of Eternia. Once there, he was healed by Eldor in a mystical pool which absorbed his virus. In gratitude, He-Ro swore to help free Eternia from the Snake Men and Horde invaders. He defended the free people alongside the great King Grayskull, eventually bequeathing his sword to the King upon his heroic death. ENJOY! He-Ro pictures by He-Shark - Photobucket |

I'm not even going to attempt to get all three staff variants. But he does look awesome.

Not a bad looking figure, but I'm not getting him. I respect Mattel for trying to dig back into (or make up) MOTU mythology, but I'm only in it for the 'Classics.' I'll be getting Hordak tomorrow, though the Horde and Snake Men are figures I'm least looking forward to (and forget about She-Ra, Catra, and all that silly stuff). Bring on Battle Cat, Panthor, Teela, Trap-Jaw, Ram-Man, Man-E-Faces, Evil-Lyn, Sorceress, and Castle Grayskull!

Thanks for the review! I can't wait to pick up mine at SDCC. I wish they would've stuck with the gray star sword instead of the blue, it just looks fruity to me now.

Thanks for the review! I wish Hasbro would put this much work into their exclusive (or heck, even some of their regular figures).

From what I understand, there won't be a difference between the three.
