Irid, mind elaborating on Cross Country being "the worst?" You have piqued my curiosity.

I think the execution of the character in m.e. form for the subscription is great. But I think the original design of the character is terrible, and that's largely because I have zero sympathy or give-a-shit for Confederate iconography.

Gotcha. That's kind of what I figured. No arguments here. But like the Dukes of Hazzard, CC was something I grew up with and never really thought about then, so it is what it is.

Mannnnn the con set this year is really a dud. Maybe I'll try and buy an SBC, but nothing else is calling out to me.

I'm interested in about a third of the set, just enough to make picking them up individually uneconomical. I would love to work a trade with someone for last year's set, but that might be difficult with the club planning on selling registration at the door this year.

I'm glad for those that like the Con set this, but it just seems like a near total miss. IMHO:
Lab Rats = complete shit Outback (AKA Jungle Pursuit Snow Job) = totally ruined an otherwise potentially awesome figure with lazy SJ head. Repulsor (AKA "Sludge Viper") and DAWG = Meh and terrible. Toxo Viper 2.0 = Flawless, but no interest whatsoever...no complaints about the figure itself though. Toxo Zombie = Meh-rrific. Flint, Clean Sweep, and Ozone= Fine, but zero interest. That leaves 2 figures that interest me: SB Commander = Fine, but not necessarily a requirement for my collection. Shazaam = Slightly ahead of SB Commander as far as my desire to obtain one for the collection. I gotta believe most of the at-Con exclusives would be zombie related otherwise the theme would seem to be false advertising with only 1 type of zombie in the whole thing (3 figures). I would think maybe a ninja force figure or two with the rest going to Subs. I honestly feel pretty good about not getting a set this year. Last year I didn't and then got the whole set piece meal over about a 9 month period. I should have just bought one. I guess I was just annoyed about getting NF versions of Psyche-Out, Repeater, Spearhead, and Muskrat before original versions. And of course you know they'll end up in subs eventually. I bet 2 will be in sub 3.0. Anyway, yay money towards other stuff.

Any of you gents going to make NJCC? I might have taken a ride over except my fantasy baseball league is having our annual Winter Meatings.
Yes it's spelled that way for a reason.

I'll be there, but only because I'm still trying to sell off excess collection. That and trying to get in on some of that sweet raffle action.

Kreon "Polar Assault Eels" AKA Snow Serpents have hit. The number to ID them is 03 (the last 2 digits after the 5 digit production code).
If you guys find any, I will pay double plus shipping plus a little extra for your troubles.
