That's what Hasbro claimed when they cancelled the line. I'm kind of rooting for a fifth movie, solely because the next wave they had planned was pretty awesome. Indy in German attire, the mechanic, Well of Souls Marion, Satipo, and a Toht with an alternate melting head. Yes please.

Once upon a time I was tempted to buy the ST bridge playset. Then I realized that the manufacturer came up with some lame ass bring your own chair and computer to work day and forgot to include, oh I don't know, about half of the bridge in the bridge playset. That was enough to make the thing a huge pass for me. Some folks may have bought into the whole buy the figures to finish the bridge scheme but I had no interest in those shitty figures. All I wanted was the bridge to use as a custom cobra command center or something. Eh well, I am sure Hasbro will be producing something decent soon enough. In fact, I'll bet Hasbro's cool base will have all kinds of neat things like a swimming pool and diving board, a kitchen and dinette set with working kitchen appliances and maybe even a small bag of burgers and fries from McBarbies.

I remember some 10-15 years ago. Playmates had the license to Star Trek even then and Paramount pulled the license from them. All they did was make more and more versions of Picard!
People got sick of Picards and Kirks. Their sales slid into the ditch so Paramount killed it. I can't figure out why Playmates got the license again. They must have paid Paramount for it. Regardless, I don't know who they pay to design their toys but that guy should be fired because the designs are so terrible. They barely look human. Funny thing is Hasblo will probably hire the guy if he is canned from Playmates.

Harrison and Steve: "Hey, we've got this great script for an awesome Indy movie!" George: "Hmmm, I don't think this is dumb enough for me. Needs more opportunities for gratuitous CGI and stunts so stupid a 5-year old would be unable to suspend disbelief." Harrison and Steve: "*sigh* Back to the drawing board...." But yes, I'd be happy for the Indy collectors (what few there are, comparatively) if it would result in them getting the Raiders II wave, and the Temple of Doom wave looked much better than the first waves, so yeah...the figs looked to be getting better. Now if they made a to-scale or slightly downscaled "flying wing" from Raiders? I'd be ALL OVER that for my Cobra forces. |

I see tons of Star Trek toys flooding the aisles. None of them are moving and no one wants them...

The whole build a playset idea was pretty bad in my opinion. Wonder how many kids were crying when they only got half of a complete bridge. The box does tell you there is only half, but people are stupid/don't pay attention.

Agreed. I still have lots of the figures from those days in a box in my closet. Too bad they never made any vehicles, other than a shuttlecraft, to go along with them. I also never once saw a bridge playset at retail but then, I lived in a very small town in Georgia back then and we seldom saw squat when it came to the cool toys.
