I see waaay more Star Trek figures clogging the pegs than Indy did. At least with the Indy stuff, some people actually bought it BEFORE it hit clearance....it seems like the Star Trek stuff just sits and sits, even on clearance.

The movie had me choked up at the beginning (you know the part if you saw it).
The toys just choked. Sulu needed his fold-out katana. |

Ah, yeah. Star Treck and Terminator have shelfwarmed down Aus, but so was RoC last time I looked. What is selling? Ben10 and RotF. But it's not like the movie for RoC is out yet so... yeah.

I think most of the movie only lines are set to fail.
If there is no cartoon/comic to back it up after the initial release it will fall off the map, then surely even the companies that make them know it. They make a quick buck off the few who do buy and use the rest as a tax write off. |

The Star Trek and Terminator toys were really horribly done.

Both of these lines were just garbage..... I really wanted to like both the Star Trek and Terminator toys. What a waste of plastic.

Terminator Toys were designed for kids 4-10, for movie aimed at 15-30 year olds. No shit nobody bought them, there was no market for them. It’s not a kids movie, who thought a kids toy was a good idea.
Same with Star Trek. It appeals to adults inherently, and was hoping to grab the teenage crowd. It wasn’t a kid’s movie, so why would little children be interested in it? Indiana Jones, on the other hand, should have worked, if handled properly. I think retailers were at fault with that one and thought it would be more popular than it would be, ordered too much, which Hasbro had to fulfill with the first two waves of figures while the next ones were being produced, and when those weren’t successful prevented the later waves to reach retail. |

the only decent terminator item was the t1. it makes a great cobra sentry guard. the figures are plain shit. the moon head is okay too and fits on a baroness body. the harvester looks okay, who knows that actually comes out. star trek figures suck hard, the consoles are nice. transporter room is cool and doubles as a nice cobra strip joint.
