Yeah, I have a few movie Joes (Breaker, Cover girl, Sgt. Stone, RA Duke and AS Ripcord) and in person they are waayyy better than I'd expected (and I was looking forward to them anyway). The head of Cover Girl in particular is a lot better than images suggest and the new sculpt weapons are superb.
Great pictures.

I like the gray uniforms. They bring a real military feel to the figures.

I think the movie Joes are pretty impressive. I like the common/shared look but still each is unique. I wonder how many are going to get done in the desert camo pattern, we've seen Duke and Heavy Duty. That would be cool if it's Crosshair.

That's a jacket-less Hawk figure. The headsculpt is the same as the one that comes in the PITT.

I was once down on the entire new movie toy line but these together have grown on me. I will likely buy them but to use as custom parts for 25th figures. I do like the sculpts. I must have that Covergirl!

i figure that because i think i may not be understanding what we have here...
im reading "greyshirts" and im reading that they are akin to "greenshrits". are these supposed to be "cadets"? or are these established characters in a standard uniform? i read it to be cadets....but i was rushing to get out of the house this morning. reading it as cadets....my thought was that for greenshirts, there were subtle changes, like hair color, and here for greyshirts, no changes. but now that i am reading it, afforded more time, i now see that its uniformed characters. so far im liking most of the movie figures. escpecially, to be honest, the characters that are being done in movie style...barbecue, firefly, deep six, shipwreck. i see myself getting more of those than actual movie characters. |
