Im always running into the connector balls being too tight or too loose. Those are simple fixes:
Too tight - just get an Emory board and LIGHTLY sand around the “equator” of the sphere. Sand very lightly and check the fit often. You still want a tight fit, just not so tight that the ball-stem snaps if you twist the waist. Too loose - GLUE GUN! You want to let the glue gun heat up until the glue gets to full viscosity. Squirt a small amount of glue into the torso well. (Too much glue and it will overflow once you put the ball connector in there and there will be a lot of glue strings to clean up). Quickly click the ball-connector up into the torso well and keep it tight together. This will allow the glue to form around the ball-connector and create a tight seal. The other problem I’m running into is the ball-connector stem is too long in some cases and the torso doesn’t fit flush to the waist. There is a small gap between waist and torso. I’ve been too afraid to do this, but am I right in thinking that I would need to flatten the top of the ball-connector?

Could anyone tell me how (or post pics of) the MTF regular green compares to the green WWII US Army soldier? I swear the green looks more brown on the website and I was curious how it looks in real life to knwo if it's an option for a figure I have in mind.

I don't currently have a sample of the WWII green to photograph, but can confirm it is quite different from the standard MTF green. It's more of a dull brownish, olive green.

^ Is that Mercer waist a pocket butt? If so, how does it fit with the t-shirt torso? Too tight?
I should have thought to sand the waist ball a bit instead of forcing it. |
