lack of interest from hasbro. look at their 3.75 star wars line as an example. they obviously do not have any interest in 3.75 figures. it's easy to blame lack of sales on something they arent trying to distribute. they could still be trying to phase out 3.75 figures (of all their lines).
my contribution to this conversation is strictly 3.75 because i do not collect anything else. Conversely, they just launched Classified. You’re saying they’ve less interest in a line that quickly that Spears to be selling and in demand?

There were some gems though, as well as a few decent o-ring repaints peppered in to keep me going. You could say that 2002- 06(?) was responsible for me missing ME when it was on shelves. After being soured on them after the first couple of waves, I made the decision to stay with ARAH, and I didn't change my mind until around a year or so ago after spending enough time here to see what I'd missed. That was apparently an expensive decision.

Got it. That brought it back. I had totally forgotten about that stuff. I picked up a couple of the Snake Eyes figures they released. Valor vs Venom I think?

The entire nu-sculpt era does seem almost forgotten now (as does Sigma 6). It's a bit of a shame, as it certainly wasn't all bad. They managed to crank out some pretty great figures and vehicles in that era, although most came towards the end of it (I'd still put the ROCC, DTC HISS, Desert/Night Attack Humvee and particularly the RHINO up against most 80's ERA product and say they more than hold their own). Maybe a few handfuls of excellent figures too, but a lot of it, particularly early on was pretty poorly proportioned and just didn't feel quite "right" and while it improved over time it never quite got to "completely consistent."

That being said, the first post names Hasbro Pulse and Cobra Island products, which would imply the Classified line.

From everything I've seen, heard, and read, retailers and bean-counters want 6" because the way they're packaged now you can fit almost as many of them on pegs as 3.75" figures but they have a higher profit margin than 3.75" figures tend to. |

I said this in the last thread with the same theme, so I'll say it here again, specifically in regards to 1/18- IT WAS ALREADY DEAD. Period. If Hasbro wanted to "kill it off", the absolute stupidest way to do so would be spending money on releasing the Retro line. I just don't understand the logic behind that line of thinking at all. The blame rests with us, specifically those of us that didn't support the line the last time it was at retail.
Seriously, it would be like deciding to demolish a dilapidated house, but making sure to remodel it first (admittedly said remodel in this case would be done with popsicle sticks and Crayola watercolors from the dollar store, but still). Hasbro obviously would like to do 1/18. There are obviously those of us that want it. I just don't think there are enough of us to convince the large retailers that it will sell.

It’s be more like trying to sell that dilapidated house for the price of a new one. Retro and the Vintage Collection of late haven’t gotten the best efforts. And frankly, they still seem to perform ok, even if not to retailers liking. Those would be better as Pulse exclusives, methinks.
The fact remains, though- if they're indeed trying to kill it off, bringing it back at all is a pretty asinine way to go about it. I'd argue that it has far more to do with the larger retailer's trepidation after repeated failures to carry the scale than it does Hasbro's desire to cancel it. Hasbro's not going to go all in on all new tooling for a line no one will carry- the fact that we got the new parts we did is a goddam bona fide miracle.
