Thanks! He was definitely a long time coming, just never could get the momentum to finish him until now, glad I did though because he might be my favorite of the Big Ben’s I have.
I have to look a the webgear for the other countries again. I ordered like five German straps & belts the one day so pretty much all I had which is why I went with these. Haha. Nice when it works out well that way.

As I continue to look for ways to fill holes in my ARAH run with Contractor parts, I get to a Joe whose vehicle I loved, but whose figure I absolutely hated growing up...Steam-Roller.
The MMC was my go-to base for my Joe’s growing up. Along with that came a shirtless guy who I just never found any use for outside of my “one-way” missions. So once I had more Contractor parts than I knew what to do with, I started looking for color matches. I saw some pieces that I thought could be a t-shirt version of Steam-Roller so I got started. Easy build here, probably something similar floating around too. Just some unpainted Contractor parts and Marauder parts to accessorize him. Then since all I had were heads with brown hair left, I decided to do a little work by painting the face and hair to make it look more like the original figure. Then topped it off trying to free-hand the DOG on his hat. The final result is a Steam-Roller I actually really enjoy. Another who I figured I wouldn’t have until the Vietnam parts came out but I’m really liking the shirted look for the character. Steam-Roller

Not gonna lie- your Big Bens using different heads is giving me fits!
They look great. I've largely moved away from using MTF for Joes, but these Bens look good enough that I may just have to copy one for myself. Really digging Steam Roller. Fairly straight forward, but sometimes something just works. His outfit is a lot more practical than the original, as well.

Another block of nine added to the table of contents. Super fun group again this time, a lot more v1’s than I normally get to do:

Not a bad choice at a recreation if you do jump on a WW2 guy because the base sculpts and figures themselves are worth owning at least one of if you don’t have them already. Thanks, was thinking the same thing for a Steam Roller, just throwing a shirt on the guy was improvement enough. Haha. Really like having this version on my shelf.

End the week with one I wasn’t really planning for but who came together while attempting to combine some mismatched parts while also using some of the cooler painted Marauder gear.
My first version of Mutt was the DEF version so that design always worked great for me. When I found out they later turned it into a Tiger Force version I was pretty intrigued so since I had the parts and I knew the build worked well with my earlier version, I decided to go all in on doing a Tiger Force member. Easy build for this one, just straight up Marauder parts with some added orange, gold & then black paint for the stripes. Went with a goatee head to give him a bit of a different look from the other Mutt’s in my collection. One addition I have to make is getting another Junkyard so I can do Junkyard II. This version came with a new brown version of Junkyard since the original retired by the time Mutt was recruited into Tiger Force. Tiger Force Mutt With my other Orange Squad Tiger Force member custom: And then all of my orange squad guys together:

Although I don't care much for the orange (I get it, it's what they originally looked like), it doesn't look too bad on that Mutt.

Wow, never knew of this version of Mutt. Convention...no wonder. Had to go back and check Yojoe. This one is is such a deep dive it’ll make your ears pop. Great custom!. Isn’t it great when you get an idea for a custom and you don’t have to wait a month for parts?

Thanks! I appreciate it!
Thanks! Definitely a fun one because of the crazy color scheme. Quote:
Mutt is definitely one of the best oranges, the green really works great to accent the orange. Quote:
Definitely was a great one for me to tackle because this camo pattern was too good not to find a good use for. Love how this hat & armored vest pops on the figure. Just an epic camo design by Marauder John. Definitely helps to have the parts on hand! Trying my best to knock some guys off the list while using as much from my bins as possible. Have so many parts still from the initial Kickstarter.
