ARBCO, or should I call you Mr. Avenue? That is one sick Cobra Trooper! I appreciate all of the work that you put into this figure, and really like the modular feel to him, where he can be formatted in different gear to create a look of uniformity, but allowing for some individuality as well. I think I like the look of the full balaclava head with the night/heat vision specs the best, combined with the multi-pouch vest with the red high-lights makes for one killer custom! Fantastic job, bro!

The ultimate Cobra Trooper IMO, amazing job!!
I really dig the camo and also how you decided to leave part black on inner thighs and torso. I agree with Todd (I can't wait to see his custom btw), he looks badass with the full balaclava head/night-vision specs & multi-pouch vest. And something I don't see often on customs is the way you attached the holster/pouch/knee & elbow pads...it's so creative - thinking outside the box - so kudos to you for that! The nice thing about using the MTF helmet would’ve been fitting slightly larger noggins in there. I had to shave Finn a little bit too close, poor guy. Good thing plastic doesn’t bleed. Quote:

I give you Destro's muse. Sometimes a woman just wants to feel pretty... This isn't one of them! I wanted to give her more of the bratty, spoiled rich-girl who decided to rebel against daddy and mommy. What could have been - Action figures that could have been made, but will never see the light of day? That's what got me into customizing in the first place, and this entry is true to that theme...
I had planned since April to get back into making figures based on concept, so I was grateful to this contest for giving me a new deadline for something I had in mind. The parts for this sat for months because I was not sure how to start. The figure represents the nameless, faceless legions of Cobra, except I did use Star Wars Finn for one of the heads, which means I can't unsee at least some individuality and potential for rebellion underneath the mask of a trooper that was trained to be mindless. This suggested a backstory where this is one specific Cobra trooper who climbs the ranks to become a viper. I had planned to create at least 2 more individualized heads, because I don't like army builders to look 100% the same, but ultimately ran out of time. Sometime soon, when I finish a few more details, I will add this to my my growing ranks of concept art-based Cobra legions in the larger project thread: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ncept-art.html. The artwork that inspired this is from several images by Josh Nizzi, found here: G.I. Joe Retaliation « joshnizzi.com What if Cobra Retaliation troopers had been given blue camouflage instead of grey and gotten all of this gear? Here is Cobra: The Enemy...

Shakka brings it home!!! Unique (& truly bratty) take on the Baroness there. It’s fun to see just how unique everyone’s ideas were. Good job everyone! |

Lmao! Thanks! Slice’s push for originality definitely led to an even more bizarre and more colorful version of Zandar than I had originally planned. I couldn’t be happier. Haha.

ARBCO: Absolutely love the paint job & build for the Cobra trooper. The red & black pops so well off that awesome camo design. Then that paint job on the eyes is epic!
Shakka: great job bringing us home with the final reveal! That’s a badass version of the Baroness, love the color scheme you went with. She looks awesome looking down the scope of the rifle! Well done! Thanks, I completely agree! This one turned out great, the push for something new while also keeping the year range fairly wide brought a lot of great ideas out. Love that no one really touched on any similar characters / designs. Awesome job, everyone! Happy everyone signed up & had time to show off something epic!

Nice Baroness. I'm a big fan of the Elizabeth Swan head and this is a great application. Digging all the highlights, as well, instead of a bland in black version. Nicely done.
