“JOE LIVES MATTER!”📣 I always thought the studios just didn’t want to pay the critics to say how awesome the movie.

I'm still keeping tabs on Robotkingdom. if these hit there before here I'll gladly pay shipping from Hong Kong for to ensure these in hand, and probably before Walfunk puts them out. I don't shop there and get a lot of my WM exclusives from them, if BBTS doesn't list them.

Today's Hasbro Pulse Presentation was quite the let down....after great expectations and a week of speculation and anticipation we, 3 and 3/4 fans, waited patiently for the presentation to begin (insult to injury was they were late). When they started talking about the history of GIJOE and all the various scales it has been represented, I feared we were about to be neglected during this presentation in favor of the new 6 inch scale, but I had hoped this was a way for them to celebrate the diversity of scales they would be offering products in.
After the discussion of how passionate the design team is about this product and how they intertwined their love of video games with the love of GIJOE for modern armaments to combat MARS Industries, and much talk about artists who were sought out for the packaging art (which while interesting made me feel bad that they are investing so much into seeking professional artists when some of the criticism from the fans has been a lack of consistency in packaging design-shouldn't they try to do this in house and save the budget for the product, or to keep cost down for better profit?), they showcased only a handful of 6 inch products (which all but the Storm Shadow had been leaked the evening before). When they did get to the question and answer session, one could definitely feel the difference in tone when answering (not answering) the question of the Retro line "rumor". It was as if the wind in their sails just up and died. It left me feeling really disappointed, as I realized these reactions were from the marketing manager of the brand and the lead designer of the 6 inch figures- of course they didn't want to talk about 1:18th scale....they are there to showcase their new vision of the 6 inch line which they NEED to succeed. It is true, they did not need to address the Retro "rumor" at all, but would it have been so bad for them to answer a question about the retro line? I mean through us dedicated 3 and 3/4 fans a bone. Now I don't have anything against the fans who have wanted a 6 inch line for so long, in fact I feel bad for so many of them who have been waiting so long for this and have been excited about this, only to feel disappointed by the designs of some of the figures and inconsistencies they are facing.....it is not fun for anyone. I really hope that Hasbro's GIJOE team can see where they are faltering and really make an effort to provide more than hype and disappointment for the many fans of all scales. Today's event in my eyes was less than Fan First...it felt a bit out of touch-I hope I am wrong and they have great surprises in store for us all.

I wonder what the general consensus (if there is one) on Hisstank is. I think the Arctic Storm Shadow and the Regal Cobra Commander exclusive was enough of a bone to make it a satisfying reveal. That and the fact we KNOW we are getting an Alley Viper and Baroness in Wave 2 made it a good enough day for those of us who collect 6 inch.

I must have missed the reveal of the Baroness and Alley Viper (which if done properly would be excellent additions for those who collect the line). The comments about Storm Shadow and Gung Ho have not been too satisfactory in addition to the comparisons of Cobra Commander in the light blue to the Captain Crunch. Red Ninja seems like a bit of a deviation from the comic approach- I almost felt it would have been better suited as a Night Creeper Ninja. I don't want to poo poo on another's parade, if it was all you'd hoped for I am glad. I simply feel that there seems to be a disconnect between the design team and what the 6 inch crowd was expecting/asking for in the deviation from the character original designs and/or accessories which they have been equipped with. I am certain you could understand how today's presentation left many of the 3 and 3/4 fans feeling a bit... shall we say neglected. I would love to see a joint approach from this GIJOE design team to develop the line in both scales equally (I understand this is unrealistic, but it would be great to share in the excitement rather then feel neglect).

It would be interesting to see a poll posted for this, as well as sub categories for 6 inch and 3 and 3/4 fans to see the reactions from each of those groups.
