Great job recreating Dr. Mindbender and the Battle Corps Alley Vipers! You’ve hit the mark with your builds on these late series figures. Again, not my favorite versions, as I felt when these last years of ARAH Joes came out that they were getting too far fetched (I know, some earlier stuff was weird, but at this point they were getting really bizarre). As I said though, you’re figure’s are what they are, good interpretations of those wildly costumed characters.

Since I never had cheap fodder helmets for my Alley Vipers, I ended up really liking these marauder painted balaclavas for them. Gives them a lot of personality, especially now that you made me aware of the COD Ghosts! Quote:

-Todd Shakka85 Yeah, I think love of Battlecorps and the neon characters really depended on when you got into Joe and whether or not you had a younger sibling. I was the younger brother so a lot of the big name characters who were from the earlier years I missed out on until Get Tough & Battlecorps came out with new versions of them. It’s funny with my one friend who got out before all the neon started, he always hated those guys but I slowly turned him into a fan while toy hunting over the years so now he has a bunch of neon on his shelves too. Cool thing about a lot of these guys is they released them in “normalish” colors during the repaint 90’s & 2000’s waves so you could get these awesome sculpts in colors that blended in more with the classic years Joes.

Those BC alleys are boss. Nice recreation of Mindbender, too. You’re cleaning Battle Corps up nicely.

Next up we finish out the week with a Joe because I ran out of Cobras and didn’t have time to finish another, haha. Probably my favorite version of Wet-Suit growing up. I didn’t have the original, really liked the yellow version but absolutely loved how the orange & black popped off eachother. Same build as my Get Tough Wet-Suit where he’s just a straight up Marauder build with a little paint and a vintage helmet. Just used a different head for him unmasked since he’s usually part of my water battle shelf with his helmet on anyway.

Gonna continue with the Cobra Battlecorps leadership with another figure who I loved growing up. Our v1 Mindbender didn’t make it to me as a kid, only recently picked him up, so this was my version of the character. Plus he seemed more battlefield ready than the no shirt, purple pants version. Haha.
Pretty easy build for him, used the head from the Club Artic Mindbender and then the rest are Marauder parts other than the black piece I wrapped around his head. Not sure where that came from. Straps were painted solid yellow since it made the yellow pop better. Battlecorps Dr. Mindbender BTW I think that comm piece is from the Resolute Comic Pack with Shockblast. Thanks! I actually threw a purple Marauder balaclava on my only Club Artic Mindbender to steal this head. Wasn’t sure if it was going to be permanent or not until I saw how much I loved how this version came out.
Awesome, thanks again! Just looked it up, it came with the Destro in that comic pack. Never would have found that, kept thinking it was maybe a Rise of Cobra accessory. Probably had it on my Destro when he was right out of the package and then after he got packed up for a bit, it ended up in a parts bin. Appreciate you pointing that out!

Start the new week with some guys I built a while ago but added some finishing touches too.
Up first is Sonic Fighter Dial-Tone. Wasn’t really happy with any of the Club Dial-Tone’s other than the one from the Mission Brazil box set so I knew I had to make one once Marauder gave us the right parts. Probably pretty similar to Dial-Tone’s that people have done. This group has mostly been done without painting. Just a straight Marauder build for this one.

Nice DT and pics!!! Any chance you want to trade for the heads of your SF Lamprey officers? I'll throw in 50th CT heads along with the trade.

Dial tone looks good and I’ve always been a fan of your action shots.
