Thanks Tex. Double shifts is no joke. Get some rest.
Will we be seeing any new customs durring your break?!!!! The ones on the stinger driver are water slide decals. It's kind of a long process. After the paint has dried I apply a gloss varnish to the area. Once that has dried I get the decal removed from the sheet with water. I then apply micro set to the area. Then I put the decal on the area and brush a layer of micro set on top. Once that is dry I go over it with a satin or gloss varnish depending on what varnish I am using on the figure. Thanks for the info on the water slides. I purchased some in the past but wasn’t very successful. Where do you get yours from? Quote:
During my break I’m going to purge my fodder bin and see what I have in there for you.

Ebay bad mother customs
If you don't follow the steps they won't turn out good. Also do not let them soak in the water for more than 10 sec. They will be mushy if you leave them in to long. You have to also buy the varnish and the micro set to get good results. I also have micro soft. This is used to make the decal soft and curve into a non flat surface. If you don't use the micro set or micro soft it will not want to mold onto uneaven surfaces.

Ok fellas, I need some advice.
I am on the fence about my next custom. It will be another concept vault figure, but I don't want to give out who it is. My dilemma The pic of the CV figure looks like it is incomplete. There is no detail on certain parts, just a 1 color paint app. Should I copy the pic and match it as best as I can? Or add detail that will improve it's look, but not be an exact match? I feel the cv figure had incomplete paint apps and the final release would have my planned detail, but I can't be certain. If you were wanting the figure would you want a match to the pic or a more detailed version, but no longer a match?

Is there a way to do both by taking a picture of them before final paint apps and then adding the extra detail and another pic? If not, then I’m for adding the missing details.

I'd say detail it. If it was never properly "finished" in the first place, we'll never know what it was planned to look like, so might as well add your mark.

I'm big into custom cards and stuff- a few Valentine's Days ago I did a prose story of how we met. I'm at the point where major financial decisions are made together, so I generally don't buy big gifts without discussing it first, so in that arena, I don't know.
