Yo you were lazy with the single thread man, but at least throw some parts lists up there!
Haha. Kidding, I would have done a single thread for each, they're too awesome to have to cram into one! I bought my first Joe in months today, to redo my Frostbite that I did based on your previous work, and I was wondering where you were with your customs. I like the parts choices, but especially on that Airtight. I've had mine in halfway hell for months due to the yellow looking like sheer shit on mine, and I'm nowhere near done. I kinda gave up because that yellow looks like ass. Here's an excellent solution, which I may need to do myself! I beat you on the Footloose, Lowlight and Dialtone, but now it's your turn on the Airtight and Leatherneck. Leatherneck, like you said, is nothing new, but it looks factory as hell, and exactly how Hasbro should have done him. I have got to get around to him now, and get back to my Airtight. Gung Ho is excellent as well, even though he's more of an update. I've been wanting to fix his arms and skintone for the longest time, but just not gotten around to it. The only thing I would change with any of them is on the GH... Just add a little to the mustache to create a fu manchu and that's all you need to make him perfect. Great job on all of them. |

thanks again guys...
the head is a Scrap Iron head with his eye sheild thing and cobra symbol removed and a modded face mask from WetSuit put in place...the chest piece thing is basically the same thing everyone else has used from some SW figure...not sure which one, but i trimmed it down a little to sit more flush...i also removed the the pockets off the torso and added detail where they were with a tiny Dremel bit so the whole chest piece thing would sit better against the figure... it's from Mutt...i stole the genious idea from Ceraurus you jerk!...if that wasn't a back handed compliment...lol...you make the best removable hat G-Hs ever and then make that condicending remark...heh heh... |

The only thing I would change with any of them is on the GH... Just add a little to the mustache to create a fu manchu and that's all you need to make him perfect. as for Airtight, yeah, i did NOT want to go down the painting a WHOLE figure yellow road...i did that for cartoon scuba Shippy and it was awful!...so i set out on a mission to have a paintless AT...and BT was the only answer, so i had to make him work... like i said earlier, i ripped off Cerarus totally for Leatherneck...that Mutt vest was brilliant!...but again, i wanted him to be mostly paintfree, the base figure at least...so i used a VvV 25th style Duke torso with Stalker upper arms and Falcon lowers (modded with non-slit wrist skin parts)...and i used Stalker upper legs and Flash lowers to get the OG style of pants...i know its kinda a skinny combe for the legs, but the paintfree criteria was again most important...the only things i had to mix green paint for was the crotch and Flash lowers...and i didn't follow the OG cammo pattern cause i had to cover the Stalker cammo pattern, so i carried it over the the lower legs... good idea on G-H...him and LN look like twins or G-H in different uniforms... |
