You know what? I have a cousin in California who runs an MMA school and because im a qualified martial arts coach, he has asked me to come over to help and teach, so what i may do is forget the holiday and take a working break, stay for a few months, that way i get to travel around. Thanks for all the suggestions, you have all been very helpful. I want to visit NYC though, for one reason, to pay my respects at ground zero.

There are a lot of others. I love New York, it is a geat place to visit. There are so many iconic places there--Times Square, Central Park, Liberty Island, Broadway, the Empire State Building, the Museum of Natural History. NYC is a great place to visit. Downtown Manhattan is really nice. |

Oh and the thing about Philly being full of mean people? Unfortunately it is very very true. I live also equal distance between Philly and NYC. The locals are aholes, the Philly people aholes. A lot of folks are moving into my area from NYC, they are almost all nice folks. OF course when I go the Philly, I have my NY Giants plate and bumper stickers on my car so maybe that's why I get so many dirty looks and foul gestures.

If you're going to Seattle, you might as well go to Vancouver (in British Columbia, not the small Washington state town of the same name), it's just a 2 hour drive away. Better beer and better weed , significantly lower crime rate, but worse drivers

But so true. There are parts of Miami that nobody speaks english...its kinda weird....it feels as if you crossed some invisible alternate world where everything looks like you are in America but you feel as if you are in a spanish speaking country.
