Critics are panning the 'Justice League' movie, and it's not a shock to anyone.
‘Justice League’ Reviews: What the Critics Are Saying – Variety The article says: "Before critics even released reviews of “Justice League,” the DC blockbuster raised eyebrows when Warner Bros. and Rotten Tomatoes both delayed review ratings until a day before the movie’s premiere." Keep in mind, 'Rotten Tomatoes' is owned by Time Warner. A few more things to keep in mind: 1- 'Professional Critics' are generally self-righteous, smug, and condescending. Most of these guys 'love' movies that absolutely no normal person is going to want to see, but saying you 'love' an obscure movie makes you seem enlightened and the peasants will emulate you to also seem 'enlightened'. Oh, before I forget- generally speaking, any sort of 'critic' is a shill. 2- DC has never been good at making movies, but their Comics (in my opinion) are superior to Marvel. It also doesn't help that DC is eagerly trying to emulate what Marvel has done- with 'Suicide Squad' being a shit-awful attempt to be the DC version of Guardians of the Galaxy, and Justice League being their 'Avengers'. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that trying to do what another guy does tends to... not turn out so well, in terms of art. 3- People are getting burned out on comic book movies. And this is my absolute favorite thing- the comics industry has had a massive boom in popularity because of the movie success in the last ~20 years. And in doing so, comics have become an ideological battleground (and it's driven away many long-time readers, and according to some people in the industry- pushed away new readers when the movie and comic feature two distinctively different characters). Ticket sales are slumping slowly, and the enthusiasm for 'the next superhero movie' has curbed- meaning that the inevitable has happened... people burned out. Personally, I hope this is the first of many slumps downward in Comic Book movies. In my own hairbrained way, I think maybe that once the movie money slows down- the quality of comics will improve and the appeal they have to sophists and demagogues will slip away. Hopefully, before it collapses into nothing at all (but even that would be better than what we have now). |

I think the burnout is progressed by shitty movies. Man of Steel was disgusting dreck and anything else is fruit of the poison tree, even is they weren't total shit rockets like BvS.

The X-Men movies were smoking turds by the 3rd movie, and the follow-ons felt like really shitty flicks made for SyFy. We're apparently getting a rebooted Spider-Man every five years, according to current trends. 'Avengers' worked well because the movies leading up to them were pretty decent, and 'Justice' league's 'best' lead-up movie was Wonder Woman. If you could sit through 'Suicide Squad' without cringing, you're probably on some kind of potent narcotics. 'Dr. Strange' just looks simply silly, and I can't even be assed to click on it using a friend's Netflix account. 'Black Panther' isn't drumming up any enthusiasm for me, either. And people are getting burned out. The sad truth of it all is that a good portion of us are sitting here knowing exactly how these stories are going to turn out, mainly because we're keenly aware that the 'hit' movies are based on stories that are around 30 years old. What are they going to follow this up with- Marvel's America? Excuse me while I laugh. The sad truth is that 'Deadpool' seems to be the most interesting and fun movie headed our way, and I can honestly say I've despised him in comics since Daniel Way turned him into a grab-ass dick-joke of a character. But hey, we all knew this would happen with comics. When Comic-Con started becoming a hunting ground for the vultures in Hollywood to find the next big cash-out (and 'Twilight' had a panel, for some fuckin' reason)- the Comic Book craze was on a downward spiral, destined to not be burned out- but ran into the ground like an Austin Powers joke. . |

You know, here's the thing about critics: they're individual human beings with individual opinions & varied motivations just like the rest of us. In other words, grain of salt. You're gonna agree with the ones whose opinions match your own and disagree with them what don't.
As far as superhero burn-out, I keep waiting for it, but there's no real sign of it yet. Super-flicks remain the surest sure-thing in Hollywood. I think it's because the bulk of the movie-going population isn't made up of overly critical geeks. They just want some escapist fun and couldn't care less about "comic accuracy" or some bullshit DC/Marvel fan rivalry. Personally, I think JL will be a fun, but probably flawed flick, owing to its troubled production. So long as it isn't a chore to sit through, I'm good. |

I already made up my mind to see Justice League, so the critics can go straight to Apokolips. Yes, many professional critics tend to be movie snobs. I also think anyone gets jaded when they see just about every movie in a given year.
I found X-Men The Last Stand and Batman v Superman entertaining. Suicide Squad was subpar, though. Zack Snyder accumulated a hate-tab from comic geeks even before Batman vs Superman. I don't know why. Dawn of the Dead was great. 300 was good. Watchmen was probably the best it could've been for a feature film. |

Hurray! Hisstank proves once again that nobody wants a property to fail more than it's fans.

I thought it looked crap with the first trailer and nothing I've seen in trailers and TV spots since has changed my mind. Numerous critics saying it's poor is not changing my mind either. The DCEU is a a complete train wreck.
Marvel on the other hand goes from success to success. |

Thor 3 opens at over $120 million and someone tries to say with a straight face that there is fatigue in super hero movies?

Just tell me something. Does Justice League movie have at least a small relation with the comic-book other than having some of the characters of it?
