Ok heres the thing, my metal/punk self used to hang around this place in NJ called QXTs...which was an industrial club--pretty cool but some of it was just much too..."goth" for me.
Diggin in the music bins the other day I found my Cubanate cd..let me tell you something, if you need cardio music--just play that. Not sure what the title is but it's the one with Oxyacetalene on it. Anyway--I need MORE music like that. Agressive, guitar driven reptition...fast, angry beats to keep me on the tread mill for a loooong time. I know the metal stuff, Ministry, KMFDM etc...what is out there that I DON'T know and on par with what I'm looking for? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

i'm more into the EBM side of things, but it has a few crossovers. I'm a HUGE Assemblage 23 fan. Blutengel is pretty good, more gothy, but still good. Covenant, and Seabound are also on my playlists.

VNV Nation, X Marks the Pedwalk, Combichrist, Apoptygma Berzerk, The Crystalline Effect, Cruxshadows, Wumpscut...
I love me some punk, but this stuff is just sexy. My girl is really into the stuff, so I try to stay abreast.

Industrial music. It brings me back to my college days. That was all I used to listen to. Here are some of my favorites:

In addition to a lot of what was already said, I'd offer Godflesh-Pure, and Songs of love and hate in dub, those are both good, and there are some cool ministry side projects you might dig if you're into punk, like Lard, they had a few albums and had Jello Biafra on vocals, plus Pailhead which only had one album but had guys from Fugazi on it. I'll echo fear factory as well.
