Just found this on Craigslist. If you're near the Roseville, CA area this could be a huge score. I only see a few Joe items from the pics, but there is tons of other toys MOC! Check it.
*** Located in Roseville. Very organized and extensive collection. Rookie sports cards, marvel, xmen, spiderman, batman, power rangers, and just about everyone else. Estate sale April 23rd - 24th 2010. Friday from 7am-6pm and Saturday from 7am-4pm at 518 Encinal Ave, Roseville, CA 95678. We will be selling the entire home contents. There is also a very large comic book, trading card, and action figure collection. View photos, video, and more information at Jennie Krausse Estate Sales & Estate Liquidation Helping Families Since 1979 in Sacramento and Northern California *** (If someone gets there I must know what Joe item that is in the box. You can only see the corner of it in the pic) |

That's what I was thinking. Something just sounds fishy about the whole situation. Did you read the text under the video. The military is re-stationing them to Hawaii, but they aren't taking all of their stuff. Hell make the millitary pay for storage until you can get it moved on over. It seems strange to me, but I find most things in life strange. Everything is a conspiracy to me...LOL!
In any case those people have an over abundance of pretty worthless stuff. Just look at all of the those Star Wars Power of the Force 2 figures, you can't give those away on Ebay these days. They also have tons of 1987 and 1988 Toops baseball cards which were the most overproduced years in history. Whoever owned this stuff seemed to jump on the bandwagon of whatever was the "hot" item from the late 80's to the mid 90's when everything was being overproduced due to the fact that people were buying them up thinking they would be "worth" something someday. The problem with that is when everyone has the same idea and hordes everything in sight, the items become less valuable because everyone already has them as well. In some cases this leaves more MOC items than loose ones which could actually make the loose ones be "worth" more later one down the line. If you follow things on Ebay you will see that loose POTF2 figures sell for more than the carded ones do. I guess this might also have something to do with people not wanting to pay for more shipping on carded items than loose ones. It just goes to show you that we should just collect for the hobby of it, not because we plan on retiring on the money made from toy collecting. Most of the stuff in that video is now worth way less than what they were selling for in retail stores over 10 years ago. If I went to this house I would go straight for the Skystriker box and then head the hell right outta there. I might grab one of the 12 inch Wampa boxes as well because hey who doesn't need a big furry Wampa in their life?...LOL!
