Today, June 15th marks the anouncement of the rebirth of Captain America's own Steve Rogers. This accompanies today's release of the special issue Captain America #600 on stands today. Captain America Reborn #1 will come July 1st. Rumors swirled on who would be reborn as Capt. America, including Isaiah Bradley of critically acclaimed "Truth: Red White and Black" (2003). Yet it is indeed Steve Rogers himself. I wonder what this will bring in terms of cool action figures on the horizon?! Till then, today June 15, 2009 marks the day the Capt., Steve Rogers is back and soon arising from the dead!

No surprise. They'd been teasing the hell out of it for months now.
But it sucks, cause Bucky-Cap was turning into a great character and I was looking forward to a couple of years of Bucky-Cap before the inevitable Steve Rogers return (I think Bucky-Cap is a more interesting character then Steve-Cap anyways). It's like having Dick Grayson as Batman, why invest yourself in the character when you know Bruce Wayne will be back in a year or so. Stupid. I wish they'd let these guys stay dead for awhile and let the new characters develop. Yet another reason why I'm not as into comics as I used to be.

The title of this page has given me a great ideal. Thanks. Oh and I love the Captain too.

Steve Rogers is Captain America.
I'm glad that they rehabilitated Bucky's character, and I hope he can stick around as Steve's partner going forward. At least for a few years. |

It used to be that Bucky and Uncle Ben were the only characters that would ever stay dead.
Now it's just Uncle Ben. I mean they even brought Barry Allen (The Flash) back after how many years? Should have let him stay dead.
