Hey Tankers, Just wanted to direct you to my blog, where I've posted a video from E3. Microsoft has apparently perfected AI in the form of Project Natal and is unleashing it upon the public. I may have ingested too much sci-fi in my lifetime, but this frightens me.

The worst part of my life is that I just know I'll die the day before the Technological Singularity hits and we're all immortal forever. : (

Well.. I've got one better for you... According to recent scientific discoveries, the Entire Known Universe is actually a Giant Hologram... which means in effect everything we know is really a computer simulation running on ... for lack of a better term... "Gods Computer".
We are all really on a 2d disk somewhere in the unreachable spots of the Universe and being projected outward as light and energy just like a Hologram. Our world may be a giant hologram - space - 15 January 2009 - New Scientist So what I'm saying is.. maybe all life is artificial from a certain perspective.

You guys know the military is going full steam ahead with robotics right? It will be scary if, in the future, they give those machines a version of AI that lets it learn.
From what I've read some in the military are against this because of the potential of a possible revolt by "smart" machines.
