Sorta. My mother-in-law moved in with my wife and I when we bought our house. Which is probably good, because we would have sold it by now due to the increased property taxes and cost of living over the last couple of years.
I do, also, live in the basement (well, kind of - it's a split level house). Getting central air would have broken our budget when the house was being built, so I chose for our bedroom and my office to be in the basement where it would usually be cooler in the Summer, and my mother-in-law got parts of the upstairs for herself. |

Does living with father in law counts? If feel weird living with my wife's dad who is acool guy but my wife's dad?! He does need some help fixing around the house which is what I'm doing but one thing pops up after another and its stressing me out. Thinking about getting an apartment soon but now I'm not even sure because I gotta go into surgery soon. It will be either scs surgery or amputation of my hand. Life is tough right now with the situation and hope it goes wells soon for everyone's benefits.

I'm 30 and currently live in my moms basement with my girlfriend (her son took over my bedroom). But in less than a month we should have our own townhouse.

That's because other humans will pick on you & make fun of you over ANYTHING! They'll always find something! The way you look, the kind of car you drive, the type of employment you have, the type of girlfriend/wife you have, the way you dress, if you're overweight, if you're bald, the kind of movies you enjoy, the type of music you enjoy, where you live, if you rent, the list goes on & on. They'll look for something they don't like about you. And if you fix that one thing they'll simply move to the next thing on the list. Humans are all about hate! They'd rather hate you before they ever try to get to know you.
These other "People" who like to judge people on what someone drive, where the live, how they dress, or how someone may be living have no right to judge anyone when in turn their life and world most likely isnt perfect. To me only one being has the right to Judge someone (I want get all Religion here) and its not anyone on this planet.... Live your life and do the best you can......thats all that matters....not what others think they know about you. And your wrong not ALL humans are all about hate....... 26 and still living the good life with the parents. On the bright side I own several houses but rent them out. Living on your own is to time consuming with a 70+ hour work week.
I have meant the stereotypical type at clubs in the area over the years though. Usually stop going because I find their social skills are equivalent to a five year old and want to knock them out. |

Moved out at 17. Got married at 20. Got Divorced at 26. Lived at home for about 6months, while I put my life back together. Got my new place after that, and now I live in a Townhome. looking to buy a house soon.
I doubt many "sterotypical" collectors/nerds are gonna admit to it. But you know what? So what? To each his own, and as long as you are living a good life and are happy, power to ya.
