Another example of how intelligence, money, fame is all vanity. In the end, you still meet the Maker. Question is, are you prepared?

As far as iconic figures in my lifetime go, Jobs would have to be right up there.

Really? So by your thinking you should what, squander intelligence, money and fame just because you are going to lose it when you die? I prefer this sentiment. Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - sipping beer from the skull of a dead hooker - body thoroughly used up - totally worn out and screaming "whoo hoo what a ride'! |

While i was no fan of the man or the way he did business, I can certainly empathize with what his family has been and will be going through having just lost my grandfather to a similar cancer last month.
And if you play the market at all, shorting apples stock is probably the wise play, the iphone 4s underwhelmed the fans and his death will have a psychological effect on the market, the hit will be short term but you could make some quick cash if you know what you are doing. |

Flint, I was not saying those things aren't good, just that they won't prolong your life or help you cheat death. I agree with living life to the fullest as well, maybe in a different way than you mentioned :P.
It is just that people get so caught up in popular people/celebrities lives that they tend to think they are immortal. Prayers for his family... |

RIP Jobs. Like many people, you have had a lasting effect on my life. From the software my single struggling father wrote for Apple when i was a kid that got us by, to the awesome products I use for my business today. Thank-you and God bless you sir!

I don't really care about Steve Jobs. He's one of the largest employers in China, but that probably won't change with Apple. Foreign bankers where he hides his money to avoid taxes probably won't be affected much either. Apple is the 2nd largest so called 'American' company in the world, but all he really did in the US was sell his products and make a few people rich. I like PCs better then Macs anyway, so I don't really care. All you Jobs fans just remember he wasn't producing jobs in the US, so enjoy your Chinese products with the Apple logo on them. |
