Are you also a fan of Checkpoint, Rook, and Redzone, the first helmet removable steel brigade soldiers? I love those guys, I was so disappointed that they never got reproduced in the modern era figure style.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of that era so I don't consider them part of the SB history.

That’s too bad. I was never fortunate enough to own any of the 1987 through 1994 Steel Brigade mail-in figures, but have always thought it was a great idea. Your project/site is a nice way to remember that.

My first Steel Brigade figures came from the 2006 Plague Troopers vs Steel Brigade set. I liked how the members of Steel Brigade were respected as individuals, rather than simple Troop Building Meat Shields.

One of my most fun and exciting Steel Brigade memories was in 2009 purchasing a Rise of Cobra G.I. Joe Pit Commando action figure, mostly because of the great assortment of gear and accessories. Chief among that gear was the black Steel Brigade helmet that you included in that set. To me, it signaled great things to come in the line.

Two years later that dream was realized, because I absolutely adore the Steel Brigade figures from the Pursuit of Cobra line in 2011, and the subsequent versions made from it since then.

I’m thankful for the part you played in helping to make that happen.

A bit off topic, but Big B, if you noticed that non-Hasbrother targeted people of differing opinions than the standard company group think, you may have basis for an action against the non-Hasbrother Company. In CA you would at least.

Neat idea on the project, look forward to your further initiatives.
