Yeah, they were clogging shelves at Zellers for the longest time. Oh how I wish I can go back in town.
We also had a Woolworth's, I think that's what it was called, and they had 1982-83 swivel arm figures as late as like 1986.

I picked up an Action Force Baroness YEARS afterwards (1990) at a cheap shop for 50p
No other figures just a bucket load of Baroness. UKS |

This reminds of a time i stumbled into a comic shop kind of in the middle of nowhere. He was loaded with vintage joes. This was late 90s right when the line was dying the first time. He had v1 Storm Shadows and Snake Eyes- figures I'd never seen in person. (All the 80s Joes i had were my brother's and he didn't have many).
At any rate, these guys were marked at 5 bucks or less a piece. Not complete but near mint otherwise. I told him I'd take em all. The owner kept informing me on how collectible they were and then started talking about factory errors and clearly wanted everyone to know how smart he thought he was. I basically told him that's cool, i'll buy them all. Im 12 with my mom and he's trying to hustle me. Then my mom pulls out her wallet and says we'll take the joes. And the dude says they're not for sale, he's just displaying them for a friend. I point out that they're marked for sale. So what, right? I guess a kid saying he'll buy them, so what, but a grown up backing me have him think they were under priced. Pretty disappointed that day was I.

When I was hunting for Star Wars POTF in 1996, I remember my local TRU still having Ninja Force stuff hanging around. I remember being somewhat interested in Zartan and Scarlett, but I never bought them. They were still full price too.
I remember Menards, a regional hardware big box, having BF2000 stuff forever. Into the 90s at least, when they just got rid of toys period. And just a couple weeks ago, I found a lone Renegades Cobra Commander at my local CVS. They still want $12 for it, and I kind of want to buy it just to liberate it and maybe donate it as a raffle prize for Assembly Required 2018, but we'll see. |

I bought a G1 Jetfire off the shelf for $20 in 1994 from a news agents in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland called Nursery Toys and Cards. It was the happiest day of my life lol.
