Foolish to assume, yes, but equally foolish not to hope for and be prepared for such a happening.

If they made a new version where the flight deck was the bottom so it was just a sheet of plastic with a control tower sticking up from there then it would be an affordable alternative that would still give us the playset/dio setting we are lookig for. If the tower was detachable and the flight deck came in sections then the box would be much smaller and storage would be no biggie.

Actually, I see a pattern of lies here.
Remember the other lies that these folks handed us about the movie being very similiar to Marvel Comics? Do these Hasbro/Paramount people know how to do anything other than tell lies? "We have a really interesting international cast and I personally view the world in a very polyglot sort of way, GO BARACK OBAMA, and so we wanted the movie to really reflect a modern worldview." - Lorenzo Di Bonaventura You know after reading this post I have come to a better understanding of what I don't like about this upcoming show; save not having seen it yet. It is that this Mr Lorenzo Di Bonaventura has this worldly view of what Joe is going to be in the film. Crappy thing is this is NOT what is best about G.I.Joe. GIJoe represents being proud to be an American and an American soldier who is "fighting for freedom, whereever there is trouble." I am scared to say if this is some kind of "right wing" point of view. If so I am really bad because I want government health care! This is what I am going to do because it hurts to damn much, I am going to withhold writing about my woes on this until I have seen this show. IT HAD BETTER BE GOOD AND IT BETTER MAKE ME A BELIEVER LIKE THE NEW STAR TREK DID. AS FAR AS THE NEW TREK GOES, I WAS A SINCERE SKEPTIC AND AFTER SEEING IT, I WAS IMPRESSED. SAME THING WITH TRANSFORMERS. I WAS IMPRESSED. WHEN I COMES TO JOE, THE SAME OLD FORMULA WON'T WORK I THINK. It needs more finesse. RoC better be good because if it is not, I will not rest until Sommers is fired and someone like Bryan Singer (Xmen director 1 &2) is hired to mop up the mess. Maybe we can get JJ Abrams to do a directors cut or something.

Bryan Singer also directed Superman Returns...proud purveyor of the line "Truth, Justice, and all that stuff."
Doubt he's gonna do any better at restoring G.I. Joe to its' patriotic roots. |

I have learned through experience that we will only get what the market will bare. The toy market will not bare a Flagg over $150.00. Just look at the BMF, the market put them on clearance. Hasbro will not make that same mistake twice. I hate that part but it is the sad truth.

Precisely.
The BMF did not sell very well, and as a result, it's on clearance. Why do people think that the Pitt or Flagg will sell in this current time? Also, even if the economy were booming, the PITT is still too ugly to sell. I want to know what kind of drugs the Hasbro people were on when they designed that thing. |
