Becuase many people enjoyed the last comparison pics I posted, I decided to do this again.
Today I just recieved my Venezuelan awe striker, and it feels like a huge accomplishment for me, as I've wanted a Rubiplas item for so long, but they are near impossible to find, and when you d find them, they aren't cheap. I really lucked out with this one. I also owe a huge thanks to a fellow member(I want to get his approval before posting who he is) for picking this up for me and shipping it to me! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been able to buy this. The U.S. one was the first one I could grab frm my collection, and i is a crappy one, so sorry about that. I also have the Brazilian awe striker on it's way, and I'm trying to work out a deal on a plastirama awe striker. Also, if anybody knows of or has a mexican awe striker for sale, please let me know. I've only seen one for sale, and it was a crappy one. So anyway, not much important to say, as I think the differences speak for themselves in this case. The UK version is slightly brighter than the U.S., and the Grey is just a little lighter. The funskool uses black instead of grey, and the Venezuelan has the lightest grey colored parts overall. The headlights on the Ven. awe striker are clear yellow, and it is like that on all 3 I've seen. The plastic tubing for the Venezuelan is also extremely thin, as you can see in picture 15. left to right: Funskool, Rubiplas, Hasbro UK, Hasbro USA 001 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 002 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr Rubiplas 003 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 004 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 005 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 006 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr Funskool 007 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 008 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 009 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 010 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr Hasbro UK 011 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 012 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 013 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr 014 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr Note the plastic tubing is about half the standard thickness on the Rubiplas. 015 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr yellow headlights 016 by wild weasel tank buster, on Flickr
