Do you have any good memories of sifting through the pegs of dept stores as a kid and seeing that one figure that you just went nuts over?
I mean regardless of what Joe I was getting I was happy...but any memories stick out when you were especially stoked to get him home and have him kick everyone else's ass? Excluding both SE and SS (both were incredibly difficult finding as a kid) I can clearly remember seeing and bringing home Undertow and being super amped up. For weeks on end Undertow and his trusty baracuda lol, kicked the ass of every Joe...and Cobra for that matter. I still remember bringing him home from Bradlees with my mom. |

The first figure I got amped over was the original hiss driver. That tank ran over everything. I loved that figure until I left it behind in a fast food restaurant. My mom was cool enough to go back, but it was too late. Twenty years later, I was able to replace that hole in my collection. Still one of my favorites.

Snake Eyes v2 was tough as all else to find when I was a kid. But I was really excited to find him, Flint and Lady Jaye since all three of them were featured in Revenge of Cobra mini-series that aired the year prior.
After that, I would say Falcon v1 and Tunnel Rat v1, both of whom became instant stars in my Joe-verse. |

1.) Night Viper (he was the first joe I got ahead of all my friends, and my best bro even tried to steal him... turn off the lights in my room, night viper was going on solo killing streaks in joe territory)
2.) Range Viper (I confess... I never read his bio. That card got torn to pieces when I got him, had no clue what he was about, or why he had an exposed skull look, but he ended up being a genetic freak in my joeverse, a crazed killing machine mindbender would let loose to scare joes, a one of a kind non-troop builder character) 3.) Frostbite (he was a snow joe, with a cool-ass vehicle, and I got him on Christmas morning when it happenned to be the first white christmas in forever) 4.) Heat Viper (he was just wicked. Dude would torch everything in sight)

The three I remember looking hardest for then being exited about when I finally got them were Lifeline, Fastdraw, and Bazooka. For some unremembered reason Bazooka was the only one that could stop a BAT so my Joes were in some serious trouble until he joined the team.

countdown was a badass and im surprised more people dont like him. he was my bathtub diver fightin' the seacons from transformers.
and the second wetsuit in yellow and black was bitching. i never got an undertow in the box so i didnt have his bitching mask and it made me very sad. he was super badass. i REALLY liked the scuba diver figures. the second eels with the mechanical shark was a huge favorite, as of course was the original eel. ok before i just name off all of them ... i freaked over the scuba dudes. |

Shipwreck V1 and SE V2. I got SnakeEyes for my birthday which also happened to be on Easter that year and my dad did not want me to guess what it was...So my step mom cut the card!!! file card gone action figure Awesome! most of my original Joes are gone including those because I just simply spent hours of my life battling Cobra...good times!

for some reason i was really crazy over the hiss driver, his color differance just made him so cool looking at the time, i would carry that little red figure every where i went, he made me do alot of bad things.

I got into GIJOE around 1985 so I was really excited to find Storm Shadow and Firefly, two of my favorite characters. I also was stoked to find the incredibly difficult to locate Snake Eyes V2 when I was little. Don't have any of those figures anymore though.
