First off, I don't give two bits if Ripcord was black in the movie or going forward in the comics. The team needs more diversity, and that's fine if they need to re-purpose some code-names around. Whatever.
What I want to know is if Hasbro would be prohibited (due to whatever agreements or copyrights they have in place) to update the classic ARAH Ripcord in the PoC line or beyond, as they are doing with Spirit, Recondo, Dusty, Snow-Job et al. Because I need a better update than that Cobra Island one. That thing is almost knock-off grade. They can call him Major Altitude or Windshear or whatever the fuck they want to. I just want a PoC-Lowlight-quality version of the 1984 HALO Jumper. Any of you guys who consort with the Hasbro guys have any insight? Did I miss an already going thread? |

What was wrong with the Attack on Cobra Island one? I thought it was one of the better figures in the set. He's one of the last Joes I would want to see a remake of. Now Falcon...that's a different story.

I wouldn't mind personally if they didn't make another Ricord. He was never one of my favorites. I second the motion for a new Falcon however...

Hated the re-used Red Star head, the helmet that didn't stay on, the oxygen cord that connected with nothing and the really lame gun. The parachute and paint apps were strong though. Falcon is a must as well, but 1984 Joes are my wheelhouse. |

The only thing I want from another Ripcord (black or white) is for him to NOT be a slavish remake of the 80s design.
HALO gear has advanced exponentially since 1983 (blasphemy!) and a parachute/oxy mask doesn't cut it. It's like a modern soldier coming with a Springfield rifle (I know gun nuts - it's the greatest weapon ever welded by man). Tom

Please stop talking. The amount of insider information that you have is exactly zero.
Know how I know this? Because you posted a declassified flyer which was meant for fun as a NEWS ITEM. No one would ever tell you anything because the VERY FIRST THING you would do is post it here. Probably incorrectly. |

I made a Ripcord custom. That's the best I can hope for.

No.
We lack the technology at this time to produce such a figure. Maybe in another 25 years or so, but not now. |

I swapped the TRU "Ace" head onto him, but I'm searching for a better helmet as well. Haven't found a great one yet, but Alyosha had one at one point, I think...
If I'm not mistaken, last time I checked it wasn't in stock, or else I would have gotten one. |

Despite being arah Ripcord's look, having Altitude's code name, and Freefall's name. now talk about not confusing people lol In any case, the Ripcord has changed to SkyDive. It doesn't looks at all like him, but now he's green, so it looks like a PoC update of arah Ripcord
