I like her but don't love her. And i never quite clicked on why. There's
nothing WRONG with her at all. But she just misses the mark for me somewhere. Never quite figured out why...

From renders and reviews I thought her face was ass but in person it is very good. I got her with the intention of head swapping, however in hand, I am not sure I will now.
So far no arm issues and face paint looks great. I do have a loose left knee, so much so, it automatically bends a bit on its own. Her shirt does not want to line up. Does this mean my torso is flipped or how do you tell? I find her knees and lower leg above boot a little off. Sizing does not seem right. Crazy how tiny of a figure she is too. Not a lot of accessories either. Strange she did not come with a pack or something more. Because of the loose knee and lack of accessories I give her a 7 otherwise she would be an 8 (and a 9 if her knees were more proportionate and aesthetically pleasing on top of other stated beefs). Edit: no weapon issues. Straight and solid. Edit2: CG does go well with Clutch and VAMP. Automatic addition on that front whereas before I did not miss her (Plus she look good with Hawk too) or even Rock n Roll. Grunt. I give her a 7.5 but voted 7. Next to VAMP she is easy 8 with any flaw included. Mr Hebime has the cool 3 Girl Joes in leather too! Edit 3: CG goes well with desert Dusty, Desert SE and 60th Anniversary too. I voted too soon. She grew on me. I voted too soon. Last edited by Rooted; 05-11-2024 at 10:23 PM.. |

These were the instructions, word for word, that I sent GoodGuy9 a year ago. It sounds like it worked well for him.
Step 1. Remove CG's jacket to make things easier. This is pretty easy to do by moving her arms straight back and sliding it off or by popping her arms off at the shoulders if your CG has that other super common QC problem where they pop off way to easily. Step 2. Use some heat (I used a hair drier on low but hot, almost boiling water may be better) and then pop off her upper torso (this will be easier than removing the lower torso). The upper torso should have a ball joint poking out the bottom when it comes off. Step 3. Heat up the waist and pop off the lower torso. Turn it upside down and pop it back on the lower ball joint, which should now be exposed (you may need to reheat what somebody at the factory thought was the top of the lower torso if it's not still warm). Step 4. Pop the upper torso ball into the actual top socket of the lower torso and put her jacket back on (you may want to wait for the figure to dry if you used hot water, so as not to trap any of it) I hope that helps. I'd post pics, but I didn't take any, and I don't want to take my Covergirl apart again. I don't know how familiar you are with popping joints, so if you are, please don't take this as condescending. I've been doing it for years, and I can never read the following sentence enough. A reminder is always appreciated on my end. If you choose a hair drier over boiling water, use low heat and make sure you keep that thing moving evenly around the joint (don't leave it on one spot) to avoid warping or melting anything. |

Off subject but you helped me with Penguin yesterday too. At first I was not feeling the classic Penguin but I changed over the course of the day. Seeing him with retro Kingpin and Joe Fixit in his mob looking outfit, the three of them look good together (similar styles). All 3 are big too; especially compared with Classified 6 inch scale, which will add to the effect of their presence. Maybe I will set them up purchasing weapons from MARS industry or something to that effect. Pixis Design has weapon crates available. Do a diorama with a few of those and some various guns and cigars. Who knows, but the hamster wheel is moving. Again, thanks on both accounts. Prefer paying retail on the Penguin over double or triple the cost. Sometimes you have too tho and that is half the battle. Dark Knight Joker and Bane are two I will have to pay more for. Would not mind a Jon Bernthal Punisher too. Never ends. |

Gonna say 6. The basic figure is decent enough, and actually looks like the original version with the "modern" shit that a lot of the "Classified" Joes continue to suffer from (looking at you, Airborne) fairly minimal and largely the result of being partially built off of the Lady Jaye tooling (the execrable "Joe-Pro" in particular is thankfully absent), but the box-art leaves me cold, the "plastic-free packaging" is stupid, the headsculpt has waaaay too much makeup (grease-stains would have been more appropriate, I think) and a pump-action shotgun is a pretty uninspired choice for the figure's primary weapon.
