They can color them how they like. I only care about vintage style size and sculpting.

The worst part about this post is the cold hard truth. I was looking at my Classified figures last night and thinking about my grandmother taking me to Heck's, Warehouse of Toys and Wal-Mart on toy runs as a child. She'd sit in the car and cross stitch whilst I perused the toy aisles. It hit me hard. Some of those times are becoming more difficult to recall.

TBH, the box will most probably be stored or displayed in a corner, and if the o-ring line thrives, I can’t imagine them not rereleasing V2 Snake Eyes, so if I really wanted to, there’s always the option of boxing V2 SE with V1 SS…. It again, who’s really going to keep those cards in the box, when you can display them outside on the card or loose. Either way, I don’t see any real issue with the box. |

Most of us probably have some special memories around GI Joe. For me, I remember the first GI Joe I got, General Hawk from 86. My dad worked a second job until late at night so mom could stay home with us kids, so I didn’t see him much during the week, but sometimes he’d come in late and leave a toy on my shelf while I was asleep. He’d stop at the Children’s Palace sometimes in the evening on the way from his first to his second job. Hawk was one of those surprise toys for me and my first GI Joe. Crystal Ball is still of a favorite of mine to this day because my grandmother got him for me for my birthday one year, and she didn’t have much money, so it wasn’t easy for her to get me a gift like that, so that one will always be a special memory as well.

Yeah, growing up, I never really realized when I was a kid how hard my family worked so I could have cool stuff like that. When I got older and realized it, it makes those times even more special. We were just lower middle class, but I don’t think my brother and I ever really knew it because of how hard dad worked to make sure we had good Christmas and birthdays. Good times. I often wish I could go back to then. As one other member mentioned, the memories start to fade, as hard as I try to remember them all, I guess it’s impossible. Sometimes seeing a certain toy from that time reminds me. Good times.

I guess cleaning up some color distortions on the OG13 could be fine, but I wouldn’t want them to mess with the eyes by adding white… it can end up looking pretty goofy, plus the eyes the way they were is part of the aesthetic to me. I feel the eyes look just fine the way they are.
