$29.99 OR $35 SHIPPED = Instant sell through.
https://hasbropulse.com/products/g-i...trooper-2-pack That being said, inflation has been just under 3000% since 1979 which would put a $30.00 sticker on 1980-whatever's $3.00 action figure. I shrug. I know what the heart wants even when the brain understands reality. Last edited by TheRealDubya; 06-23-2022 at 02:02 AM.. |

I just hope this doesn't put an idea in some hasbro corporate fatcat to up the price when it comes back. They've done that on many occasions when something was a great success. Don't ruin a good thing going for you hasbro!
I wanted two Imperial guards so bad to flank the emperor, but only had one. Garage sales were the place to find doubles. That's how I scored some Joe vehicles over time as well. Then later when everything went to flea markets and weekend toy shows just before the internet boom. Those were great times - although it did use a lot of gas and that would NOT fly in the present inflation. |

Yeah baby, Stinger sold out! O-ring lives! It lives a lot better when the price is right...
As far as army building goes, when I was about 11, I had some extra money and found 2 Vipers and 2 Grimson Guard at a flea market and bought them over "named" Joes. I wanted VIP Cobras to be flanked by troops. By the time Star Wars came back out, I wanted as many Stormtroopers as I could get. So I was an older kid, but a kid nonetheless when I got into troop building. |

This really bothers me when companies take your money and then take forever to ship what you paid for. I really don't appreciate it and they should not be taking our money until the stuff is actually going into the mail. It looks even worse when they do this to premium members. I am a premium member and I still have not received a shipping notice yet but my card has been charged. This isn't new either with Hasbro Pulse. I recall the first Classified Duke being especially bad. They charged my card but then did not ship him for almost a month. MOD Zartan I also think there was about a week between taking money and then actually getting him in the mail. Looks like this latest o-ring two pack is the same. Hasbro Pulse is last to get product and then takes a very long time to ship it. They really need to improve things there. |

They're walking the fine line in offering a "deal" for the Premium Membership. Really makes no sense after they yanked free shipping away and should be really trying to promote Premium. They could be getting so many new members right now. What do they do? Make the Premium members doubt their own membership. D'oh!

Unfortunately I imagine Hasbro is thinking, "We should have charged more for that Stinger."

My problem are the "logical" associations and just in general bullshit. Like, "Just spend $15 more and you get free shipping!" even though that's just another toy I don't really want and another $15 I didn't need to spend; or like with the Boss Fight Phantom figures, "Just buy both the female Phantoms so you can swap their waist pieces!" Right now with the Retro Stinger, I've ordered it because it's way cool, even though I never really liked the idea of Joe and Cobra sharing a vehicle and I'm trying to keep this collection light and this is a good place to keep it light, so why am I buying it again? Oh yeah, because it's way cool! lol
