I really regret not buying up the BM Steel Brigade figures back when they were $12.

He's got some nice Cobra Officers for sale right now. Unlike the WORMS, they're being sold individually, so you don't have to buy the complete set if you don't want or can't afford to.

Once I tried enquiring about repro accessories for Snow Serpents or Eels - same thing, no response. I used to own a Cobra de Aco figure by BM. Not very good quality. Same with my BM or RL Sky Raider (custom Action Force Space Force character using the V1 Viper mould), and then there's a White B.A.T. with Red Shadow's Enemy logo on it - a Baron Ironblood B.A.T. - again, rather poor quality. I bought these from resellers in the UK on eBay. Its a real shame Black Major and Red Laser aren't helpful - I feel as if they don't want to deal with the UK at all. They'd easily make more money by simply providing excellent customer service all round - as such, they lost my potential repeat custom. Also, the prices are now ridiculous for these repro unofficial customs - we have to pay VAT at 20% on prices plus a further 20% on postage and then there's the Import Duty charges to the UK - so its all prohibitive. On Ebay they either ignored my queries - mainly to do with buying accessories or prices for items - one of them flatly told me that they could not answer my question as eBay would suspend them. I somehow doubt eBay would suspend anyone from simply listing items especially for a particular buyer as a buy now would they? So, sadly very unhelpful. Another seller that let me down was evolving door. I recently tried asking him a question on the cost for two figures he had plus postage - and he wouldn't give a proper answer - he said 'they cost the same as my other listed figures of these characters - but here's the thing, all his prices as well as his shipping costs varied so I did not get a definitive answer. Once again, he lost my potential custom too. The new W.O.R.M.S figures look okay. But I shan't be buying any - these guys lost my potential custom years ago sadly due to their being highly unhelpful over the most simplest matters...go figure. I wonder why there are alternate torsos with the new figures, what's the head from? One thing I do wonder, if BM and RL conceal their identities - wouldn't everyone who buys from them know who they are based on PayPal receipts and the senders address? Its like a strange open secret really.

I've seen many BM and Red Laser customs over the years on eBay and Instagram. I tried buying items from them via both mediums in the past - and sadly they were extremely unhelpful and paranoid. When I merely enquired about shipping costs to the UK - no response at all, no matter how many times I politely asked.

Its like a strange open secret really. When I met Red Laser at Joecon years ago, he was friendly and helpful and eager for my business. In the months and years that followed, whenever I tried to contact him, I often received no reply, or a reply that was short and rude. I kind of got the feeling, that both Red Laser and Black Major, are aware that what they have is very popular, and those two are basically "the only show in town" when it comes to new o-ring Joes. It's a take it or leave it type of thing with them. As for evolving door, I have purchased several figures from him over the years, and he has been really great. I have nothing but good things to say about him.

I've seen factories that have these cobra molds advertising in certain areas, for some reason I'm thinking Alibaba, and you too can make o-ring figures if you can meet their ordering quantity. Pricing was between $1.50 and $3 each, and several thousand minimum.

As for evolving door, I have purchased several figures from him over the years, and he has been really great. I have nothing but good things to say about him. As for evolvingdoor, he sadly was literally unhelpful. I just asked him a very simple question - "how much were two certain figures plus postage?" He couldn't be bothered to give me the details. His shipping varies wildly on all his listings as well as those infernal eBay import charges so I couldn't exactly say yes I'll buy them both....it just amazes me that these guys can be so unhelpful. It's a real shame. As for BM and RL? I can't recommend them due to their rudeness, unhelpfulness and needless paranoia. I certainly don't treat customers of mine that way.

Sadly, it appears that Black Major will be calling it quits later this year.
