I bought a set at $65 then the 20% off coupon. So $52. It isn't worth the wait in the customer service line on my next visit for $2.

You know, had Hasbro chosen to put the green HISS in this set--or a tan or a brown or a white or maybe even a red version--it would've been less likely to hit clearance in the first place. I mean, what Joe collector wouldn't want a desert HISS or another crack at an arctic HISS? Instead, they went with orange because...well, no one asked for it. I guess Hasbro feels they can't re-release the same colors of repaints, so they pull out the color wheel and give it a spin.
Then again, every large G.I. Joe vehicle toy from the past decade has ended up hitting clearance no matter the color, so they probably figured, "Eh...what the hell, make it orange." |

I cant figure out the logic behind the orange other than possibly Haz viper tie in? Anyway one looks kinda off in a collection but adding just a second one gives it s sub team or dedicated variant vibe that is actually cool. especially with a Half dozen or so of those orange Rip-its running around them. Now that they are common I may try and trade or pick up a few of those cheap ones on ebay and keep army building them.

They've released every other color at some point. Red for the target UBP, blue for target exclusive, white for the arctic version. Green made sense for the Joe version exclusive. I think tan would have been a better choice to fit the desert theme they've pushed in the past.

They said it was inspired by the Septic Tank and Night Boomer JoeCon exclusives. No idea why though. Recent convention exclusives are a dumb place to look for inspiration for new retail exclusives.

I could have gotten it for $35 today (20% off coupon and $5 reward). Still a pass.

I got an extra sticker sheet with one of mine and used it on a Vintage hiss that was bare.... and DAMN it looks dope as hell. That silver hash mark really POPS on it, I only used it on one side like a 'Vette or something, used the other on an old HISS I had that just needed SOME extra decals not a full set, they really pop in my HISS fleet now.

I guess I can see that, I have been using night striker and night boomer for the call signs of my two Wolf Squad Sku strikers anyway. Yeah every time I turn mine over playing they open up and the figures fly out.

I'm somewhat torn here. Part of me thinks I ought to buy one with the 20% coupon and then sell my 30th Skystriker (I like to keep my collection small and 2 Skystrikers isn't something I want), but there's another part of me that simply doesn't give enough of a shit.

Small is good but like broham said above this one represents the night force nightboomer. I don't think you will regret it I love these. It is a great match for the 30th.
