Good for you. In case you haven't noticed, what you would be willing to pay is completely irrelevant to Hasbro because they don't sell directly to you, they sell to retailers, in particularly Toys R Us for this line. And in this case Toys R Us likely isn't interested in paying $20 wholesale for a two figure set that they would turn around and sell at $40 (your $20 per figure amount) because Toys R Us knows that despite your whining their are very few of you who would buy the toys at that price point to make that a sensible endeavor to commit to the quantities it would take to get it made.
My suggestion to you would be start a brick and mortar store, or an online store, contact Hasbro and commit to buy around 10,000 pieces per figure of a line of Joe figures at $10 wholesale price (a $100,000 commitment on your part per figure) and then Hasbro may make it. Otherwise Hasbro will continue to work sensibly within the framework and retail price point of the retailers that buy the figures. ^ Is your reading comprehension really that poor? Where's all that come from ? lol. I hear a bunch of "price point" whining, and it's continuing with you, right now. Last edited by Contraband; 08-06-2014 at 01:25 PM.. So, I finally got a call from Entertainment Earth to pick up my pre orders this morning. I opened up Cobra Commander first because he is just so awesome and one of my top three in this assortment. After checking the figure out, I noticed the head wouldn't move. Right when I turned it to the left this happened.
All joking aside, that totally sucks. I'm sure you can ask EE to replace the CC. If they let you keep it and send you a new one, I'd gladly trade you for your broken one. *EDIT* LOL! Didn't realize I was responding to a post from last year...haha.

I wasn't referencing you specifically, but you need to remember with this line we are not paying POC prices. We are paying $7.50 per figure for the 2 packs and $6.50 per figure for the 3 packs. We are also talking about a limited run of retailer exclusives which have new molds and hard to find figures from earlier waves. GiJoe is the best action figure on the market. It's detail and articulation alone are leaps and bounds above the competition I can't complain about the paint jobs too much we are still getting a better product than anything the Club puts out and for a fraction of the price.

Ok,gotcha...but weren't poc figures under $10 each? Idk,I came in during retaliation...even paint wise,I don't truely expect hand painted works of art, just do t expect a steady decline in over all quality. I was more then a little disappointed in the 50th night vipers compared to the retaliation version. |

From Hasbro's Marvel stuff to Mattel's DC line, it's all looking pretty crappy. At least G.I. Joe is selling at a lower price point. |

the only one with rubbery knees for me is Destro, and to be honest, I am underwhelmed with him in general. Best thing about him is the sniper rifle in the case. Leatherneck has paint issues on the forearms and minor things like the body armor corner sticks out where it connects together. I am sure a little heat will fix it. His holster seems stiffer and harder than the same one on Roadblock. Roadblock (in my joeverse) prefers to carry a 4 in barrelled .44 magnum from Marauder GR, and he gave one to leatherneck, but it needed gunsmithing to fit in the stiffer holster. Lowlight fig is okay except for missing flesh paint behind ears, sort of looks like an earpiece for comms, but his scope won't fit in the leg holster thing. NV helmet NVG bent and paint sloppy on it, but no sombrero effect on the sleeve insignia. Hawk is good except for brown hair paint about a 1/16 or so onto the forehead below the hairline. Havent opened my Heated Battle or Beachhead set yet but the HEAT viper purple has a few defects and the upper legs don't seem to be attached real well.
I would like to suggest something like a US based factory, but does anyone remember the big three automakers and their quality during the 70s? Maybe Hasbro's 3D print to order idea will fix this. Also, anyone buy any of those Target BBI figs? Wondering about their quality? |

Damn! Thanks for the heads up! I can cope with my 50th night vipers&troopers, just disappointed. Like I said, the retaliation version is a really good figure. Not the best, but really nice accessories, great paint, all around a great figure. The red ones are just ok. |

I opened a heat viper today that had the lower arm twisted when painting, so when his arm is right the purple stripe is on the inside.

Soon after my nieces and I constructed our Danger at The Docks set, the peg on the EEL's backback snapped off in the hole in his back. I have just Krazy Glued the peg back onto the pack. I'll see if that holds. But, really, this shouldn't happed seconds after a toy is taken out of the box. Well, the glue didn't work. I just tried to fuse the peg back onto the pack via candle lighter (small handheld flame thrower). Let it dry a bit. Just ordered an EEL Pack (2009 Version) from Ebay to replace EEL Pack 2014. Hopefully, that will work.
